Just received my second batch of decking boards and they are as good as the first. Received very quickly this time
The delivery man was extremely helpful. Didn't have any lifting gear and still carried all 48 decking boards to the front of my house. He didn't have to but I was not at home at the time.
Definitely give this company a go as the quality was great

As below, ordered decking weeks ago and absolutely no communication. Tried to call, email leave voicemails and nothing. Now going down the Paypal route to get all of my 拢750 back. Please take into account these reviews before purchasing anything, I wish i did! (order ref 43635)

Do not use this company. As many other people have commented there is NO customer service. I am still waiting for a delivery date, tried phone, email and web contact but they have not had the decency to respond.

Placed an order 2 weeks ago. I received no confirmation e-mail which concerned me initially but assumed I would receive that once the funds cleared. This was not the case when they relieved me of nearly 拢900. I have e-mailed asking for any update but have not had a reply. My wife and I have called on numerous occasions and left messages on the answer phone as this is all I have been able to reach so far. I wish I had read the reviews before placing an order. Very much hope someone from customer services is monitoring reviews and has the decency to get in touch. This is my first ever experience of such poor/non existent customer service.

Used their online calculator to estimate what was needed for a large deck and added a few extra 5.4m decking boards as edging strips total cost was around 拢900, cheaper than other local DIY stores. . Initially was disappointed when told it was a 4 week wait due to the delivery issues with COVID. But i had an e-mail delivery update and actually had the items delivered within 5 days of ordering, so very happy with the delivery time. The delivery arrived on one large pallet. quality of the items ( 5.4m boards, posts, concrete) were excellent uniform colours and thickness. in the delivery was 1000 decking screws which i thought was overkill, but actually used the majority of them. But didn't use any of the 250 nails that were supplied , cost was not much for these but not sure what they are for. however you always need nails when doing DIY so they will get used . Overall very happy with the experience.

Don't waste your time. placed an order for decking only to be told ages after they cant supply the materials at the prices on their own website and I had to keep chasing them up. The promised to sort it our after i changes them for 3 weeks and kept promising to come back to be bit never did. VERY poor communications and let you down on projects… They actually trade as Shawfield Timber also very bad reviews.

I had seen the reviews below so was a little nervous ordering. However, I ordered with a 4 week delivery estimate. I got contacted after a week to let me know it would be earlier than that. In the end was delivered after two weeks. Wood is as good a quality as I鈥檝e had from anywhere else, better certainly than the major chains. I have no complaints and will use them again for rest of my wood.

The customer service from this company was terrible. I ordered the product in May expecting as per their website a 7-10 day delivery, they then put a notice on their website to say delivery would take at least 4 weeks from date of order. There is no actual contact from them. We emailed and tried to call on numerous occasions to ascertain a confirmed delivery date with no response, we eventually ended up threatening legal action, and we got a call that day to say the product was being delivered. The decking was great quality when it arrived (although they did state we would get a phone call day of delivery with a time slot, this didnt happen). The decking calculator on the website was very easy to use and delivered what was calculated, however, I expected a plan of my layout with the decking but this didnt come, just generic info via the website. My advice would be to order from somewhere more reliable and customer focussed.

After spending quite a lot of money with decking supplies/shawfield timbers, the last part of our order was 5 packages 3 of which have arrived still waiting on the last 2 parcels from 4th July.after numerous emails trying to phone to only get answer phone message then emailing again a total of 6 up to now NOT ONE RESPONSE…decking all done bar the last 7 pieces totally frustrated at their lack of response,if I could find 7 deck from else where i would get them but i cant even contact them for a refund. FUMING is an understatement.. i understand that things have been difficult lately due to COVID but come on GUYS answer your emails at least

Like others have said really poor communication from the company, placed my order 3 weeks ago and absolutely no reply whatsoever despite emailing them numerous times. Need to cancel the order and look locally but can't even do that as no one gets back to you. Last resort get the raising a dispute with the credit card company.

I am appalled by the lack of communication from decking supplies. We have paid for our decking 5 weeks ago and have had no contact since from them. I have emailed twice and completed a support form. No communication back at all. My review will remain very negative until my order has been received. Do not order from these. It's disgusting service!!!!

Edited…. We finally had our decking delivered. On a positive note it is great quality.

So at first there was a communication issue and the decking took 4 weeks for delivery when advised 2…. HOWEVER!
The gentleman couldn鈥檛 apologise enough and sent our order as a priority and it was delivered the next day!
Well worth the wait!
Super quality boards and timber!!
Looks amazing in our garden!
Yes they took a little longer for delivery but defo worth the price and the quality!!

Ordered 5 weeks ago. 1 Automatic Confirmation email and zero other communication despite trying to get hold of this company to confirm rough delivery estimate.

I appreciate we're in a global pandemic and they are probably very busy. When I ordered delivery was stated at within 7 days. A week alter a banner on their website stated due to demand would now be 4 weeks. This I have no problem with given the situation. However to not reply to emails, return phone calls or even contact customers who have paid over 拢1000 to this company is appalling. No excuse to not even reply to an email, even if its to say "We super busy but have your order and will be in touch soon"

I would avoid all you can at the moment, i'm now sat here with over 拢1000 out of my bank and no idea when my decking is going to be supplied. No matter how hard I try can not get a reply out of the company. They even have setup a priority support form. Which apparently does nothing either.

Wish I鈥檇 read these reviews before ordering. Ordered over 拢1000 of decking on June 1st, the main reason I chose this company was there website stated 7 to 10 days for delivery.
After ordering I got the automated confirmation receipt. But since then nothing I have sent numerous messages and can only get the automated phone reply to email which I have done. So at this stage can only rate on communication which I can even say is poor as is just none existent. If I haven鈥檛 had some kind of reply by the end of the week I will claim a refund through my purchase method. I know times are difficult at the moment but don鈥檛 advertise 7 to 10 days or take orders you cannot supply! Happy to update this if I get a reply. No excuse for no communication though

Very pleased with the goods I ordered I had to wait a few weeks but because of the Coronavirus situation I understood it would take longer to receive my order. The goods were delivered fine and the guy put them as close to the side of the house he could.

I took 5 weeks to deliver my order despite being told 3 times that it would be delivered 'next week'. Their communication was really poor and I had to chase them all the time. Even the delivery itself was a poor experience, no contact on the day (I had to chase again), then a vehicle with a single driver turned up expecting my wife to help him unload the boards. Quality of boards was not great, 4 out of 42 had large cracks in them so unusable and 3 were so bowed that could only be used in cut down segments. I sent an email complaining about the service and heard nothing back. Overall, I could not recommend this company and would advise you to look elsewhere.

Has anyone every had a reply from them. I have now emailed 5times and have had no response. I have tried phoning but it just gives you the email address. I have no had any contact since receiving my confirmation email of my order.
I wouldn鈥檛 advice anyone to use this company, they don鈥檛 deliver on time and they don鈥檛 respond to any emails.

Awful company. Ordered decking 26th april. Have sent numerous emails to them. Got a phone call on the 25th may informing me delivery would be that week and someone would confirm a delivery date. Email after email sent and and guess what, no delivery and no communication. I've asked for someone to contact me so I can lodge a complaint. Cant even get a refund as no one ever replies. Will never use them again.

It isn't the fact i have been waiting 5 and a half weeks for my order, even though at time of ordering it stated 10 days. It is the really rubbish communication. Phones are off, with a pre-recorded message saying email in… Ok, so i leave it a few weeks to be reasonable given the times we are in, so i email in.. Nothing. I email in again… nothing.. Again, and i get "Chris" reply and say my Order is due out THIS WEEK.. dont get excited it wasn't this week, it was last week at the time of writing.. so THIS WEEK came and went, got another email saying i got the wrong end of the stick and they were shipping it over the weekend and i would get it this week.. my mistake! So its now Thursday, i've had no reply to the 4 emails i have sent. i doubt i will see my decking this week. I was recommended this company by a friend, they did have a good experience so maybe its just the times we are in, HOWEVER there is absolutley no excuse for this dismal customer service, if they can't fill the order, they need only be honest, if it is coming in 2,3 4,5 weeks, just SAY THAT. Fingers crossed it turns up soon, or better yet they get their "Customer Service" team in action.

Ended up coming 4 weeks after ordering, communication was pretty poor and the quality of the wood is not great so order more than you need as I found multiple bent or cracked pieces. I probably would use again as I expect under normal circumstances it would be a different customer experience.

No excuse for not getting back to me.,
Ordered on the 4th May, no indication of a delay so emailed on the 11th for an update. Got an email back pretty quickly saying delivery would be the week commencing the 25th May. I was ok with that and thanked Chris Ayres for his explanation that staff were working remotely and not as timely as they would like.
Last week I emailed to check, no reply, subsequently emailed 4 times but nothing back.
Their website went from saying no more orders to today saying 2 week delay. So done the maths, so where is my decking?
I can understand the situation but what I don't understand is a lack of reply to emails to both Chris Ayres, [email protected] ans [email protected] without reply
They've taken my money as well.
Very bad customer service…..even if there is a delay, communicate it

Would love a director or owner to come back to me.

Has anyone received any correspondence in regards to orders?
It鈥檚 been over three weeks now and nothing, no one to call and they don鈥檛 respond to email, happy to update this if I hear something positive back from them.

# Received a call today to say the materials will be delivered next week which sounds positive 馃憤

# goods delivered yesterday (4weeks from ordering) very pleased with the quality although a couple of items missing. Delivery driver was first class.

Easy to order from as they have a great website. Far cheaper than everywhere else we tried. Took a little bit longer for delivery than the original estimate but being locked down, it didn't matter. They called to update the delivery and actually delivered a day earlier. Delivery driver was excellent and managed to manoeuvre the crane over cars and under power lines to get it into the garden.
Can't fault them, great value, great decking and everything I needed to fit it including a diagram with the measurements for the joist positions.

I ordered on the 17th April and was told 2 weeks for delivery due to covid-19, which I thought was very reasonable. After reading some of the the recent reviews I started to worry about my delivery and contacted them and was told delivery would be 11th of may, 4 weeks after ordering. However I recieved a call the following day and delivery was made today, 30th of April. So it took 2 weeks for delivery which during the current times is fantastic. Although I had no update about the order , I think it's hard to be critical as every business will be really stretched at the moment.
