We purchased a light fitting at 拢260 on 26th August, with a promise of 2 days to process the order and then a maximum of 21 days delivery – this is a long time by any standards but the light fitting looked ideal for us.
We received confirmation that order was received within 2 days- however we failed to spot that the grey shaded light we had ordered had been changed to a green shaded one in the confirmation – back to that later.
The light did not arrive within the 21 days and we could only contact Deco26 by email – they were then unable to tell us when it would arrive. The tracking information on the site only changed to "shipped" on 8th October – already well past the promised delivery date.
I contacted Deco26 again (via email) on 12th October to ask them to cancel the order as it was too late for us to use it and we had needed to purchase an alternative elsewhere. Again – no response.
The product then turned up on 21st October – some 2 months after ordering. I have since then been trying to get a reply from Deco26 about returning the product and getting a refund – in line with their published returns policy. Guess what – no reply despite several chasing messages.
SO, I still have an unwanted – and incorrect – light fitting and they still have 拢260 of our money and no way of reaching them!
My next step is Trading Standards and the Distance Selling Regulations in order that nobody else gets coned by this company!
