I bought as DenonX6500 to power my 11.1 Dali Oberon speakers system.

It is forever cutting out and switching off in films with full surround sound to " protect my speakers ". Ok if it was really on the power but does it at almost any volume when sudden sound surge happens…this is a crap amplifier as one can not over ride or reset it.

It makes a nonsense of watching movies with good depth of sound…do not buy this rubbish AVR amp if you ever want to watch a Sifi or war movie…wish I did not …nor would I have done if someone had warned me…

I also bought this company's receiver to listen to internet radio.
Suddenly it no longer works, and you need to pay a tot per year to continue using the service.

This is a scam, in the appliance manual it is not specified, if you change your rules you cannot do it with appliances already sold.

Avoid buying DENON considering how it behaves …

I currently own the Denon AVR-X6300H. It's a quality receiver that powers all 11 satellite channels. I'm currently running a 7.2.4 setup with this one receiver. Plenty of power in the amps for my needs, and the sound quality is awesome. I also like the fact that Denon have stuck with Audyssey, and this AVR came with the flagship version, XT32 with Dual SubEQ. Audyssey is one of the reasons I changed from Onkyo to Denon when I upgraded AVR. My previous Onkyo had Audyssey, but they've since ditched them for their own room correction tech, which I'm not as convinced about.

I initially had a problem with my Denon X6300H right out of the box. It a had a faulty, defective, soundboard, part of a bad batch that had affected this model of AVR. It came with a 2 year warranty, and Denon were very supportive. Spoke with an Irish chap (their tech support is based in Ireland) called Johnny on numerous occasions and he was very helpful. He seemed determined to get to the bottom of some other compatibility issues I was having with the AVR, my previous TV, and my PS4. Anyway, my AVR was sent and returned free of charge to Denon's officially authorised repair workshop. It was well looked after. I was slightly concerned about scratch or mark damage to the chassis in transit or at the workshop, but it came back in pristine condition and fully repaired. The soundboard was replaced with a new, non-defective one. It has worked fine ever since then.

I can highly recommend Denon and their tech support. If I had one criticism, it's that their tech support isn't open on a Saturday. It's only open Monday to Friday. And it was sometimes difficult for me as I often work long hours Monday to Friday myself, and sometimes I didn't have time to contact them during the week. A Saturday support team, if only available half day, would but be helpful. Other than that, I can highly recommend their products and tech support.

Have had an AVR-4806 Surround Receiver in service now for several years. It鈥檚 certainly full-featured and there鈥檝e been no failures, but this thing is hard to use (!), and the membrane-type remote is a headache. I have to consult the User Manual/鈥淥perating Instructions鈥? which is a book, for every little thing and every new or changed connection or reconfiguration. (Currently trying to figure out why surround speakers/mode no longer work after having had to temporarily remove them…). Quality Issues: None (well except for the remote, maybe). Performance Issues: None. Usability Issues: YES! I would recommend this unit to the dedicated aficionado/enthusiast who鈥檚 constantly tinkering, but not the average user who just wants good, full-fledged surround-sound.

I bought a complete Denon Heos system on 10/26/18. Soundbar, subwoofer and 2 Heos 5. Everything worked fine, but subwoofer started to loose connection to the Soundbar after it goes on standby. I called customer support. They suggested to unplug the ac power cord for 30 seconds and reconnect. It worked one time but continued to loose connection. Following 2 calls to support they walked me through the process of unpairing and resetting the subwoofer to soundbar. 2nd time using an ethernet cable to do the setup. Problem persists. In the process of moving the subwoofer in and out of position, I accidentally damaged the grille. I finally managed to talk to a customer service. He said you damaged grille so product has no more warranty. He gave me a service center to service my subwoofer. Shipping costs and repair codes is on me.

The question is: if the subwoofer was not defective, I would not have accidentally damaged the grille. Doing all the reset and moving subwoofer in and out was not easy. I鈥檓 69 years old.

If you are searching for a Soundbar or any sound equipment; DO NOT CHOOSE DENON for the reasons I have mentioned. There other manufacturers with just as good product and price that stands behind their product. I for one will never buy another Denon product. I tokd that to the supervisor and his only answer is I鈥檓 sorry to hear this.

Is Denon legit or scam? Can I trust Denon?
