agency with very neat decoration, relating to good taste. Following the warm welcome of the masters of the place, Khalilet Ahmed, around a wonderful local tea and a map of the region, we finally decide among the many options offered to take the exceptional route of the valley of roses for to start. Decision made at the end of the day for a departure the next morning …

First very good impression with our guide, Khalil to make it shorter, at the wheel of a very comfortable 4×4, impeccably clean, well maintained which will be scented with rose later.

The discovery of this exceptional road began with the crossing of the Oasis of Skoura on a path closest to plots of land carefully cultivated and maintained in the image of gardens with a variety of crops and a unique local irrigation based on a series of close earth wells. The cultivators are at work from the first hours of this day. We crisscross the path as close as possible to dwellings and kasbahs, unique in their architecture.

In the valley of roses, we are again warmly welcomed around a delicious mint tea by women who explain their activity to us in the production of various natural rose-based products.

We continue our journey through wild landscapes with unspoiled nature before taking a track that will lead us to the caves of the nomads who had so stirred our curiosity. Once again by sharing the tea with a nomadic family hospitli猫re in a cave and with the precious help of our charming guide Khalil who can translate our questions, we understand how much these nomads live only for the essential and are very attached to their freedom, despite living conditions that still had the effect of a shock. Before leaving, we see children having fun around a wheelbarrow, a simple game!

Further on, we came across a very cheerful young shepherd with his flock of sheep accompanied by his dogs in the midst of such a wild landscape, bursting with tufts of thyme and sagebrush.

Our guide Khalil is a precious pearl for his knowledge of the country, the region, history, culture, fauna, flora, anecdotes, always with his sense of humor, his perfect ability to forge a bond with the people met on the way.

The icing on the cake: Khalil surprised us with his talent as an enchanting artist at lunchtime in a superb place in the valley of figs. He just had to grab a musical instrument on the spot to sing in Berber.

Thank you so much Khalil, the enchanter throughout the journey with his humor, his good humor, for an unforgettable and very rewarding day.

This successful adventure gives us the urge to renew it to other horizons.

From the bottom of my heart: many thanks to Khalil, Ahmed the enchanter for a memorable, unforgettable and enriching day that marks our life.
Thank you also to the person of the welcome with sublime eyes.

3 jours de Marrakech 脿 Erg Chigaga
My girlfriend and I were traveling to Morocco to celebrate our birthdays and were looking for a unique experience in the Sahara Desert. I had originally booked a fairly standard 3-day trip to Merzouga and was able to connect with Khalil prior to my trip. He offered me photos and a detailed description of the far more unique experience I would have going to Erg Chigaga and experiencing the Luxury Camp in the desert. The experience did not disappoint.

We were picked up in a 4×4 by Ahmad who was extremely friendly and a safe driver. We made our way through the high Atlas mountains, making stops at our leisure to take photos, use the bathroom, and get food/beverage. It was nice having flexibility rather than being in a larger tourist van. Unlike the larger tour groups, we were able to explore additional Kasbahs with a Berber tour guide.

Our accommodation in Ouarzazate was very comfortable (hot water, A/C, comfortable bed) and the owner/staff were extremely welcoming. Somehow, Khalil had arranged a special surprise during dinner at the Riad where the owner brought out birthday cake and helped celebrate the special occasion with us.

Spending a night in the Luxury Camp in the Saraha was truly magical: The food was exceptional by the campfire, the service was impeccable, we enjoyed Berber music after dinner, slept in luxurious camp accommodation (private toilet, shower, sink), and a chance to lay on a comfortable bed underneath a sky full of stars.

Our return trip was smooth as well. Though it was a long drive back to Marrakesh, it was made all the more enjoyable with lively conversation and sharing of Berber music.
Overall, the trip to Erg Chigaga was a very special experience and it was made that much better due to the attention to detail provided by Khalil and his team to ensure we had a smooth, luxurious experience on our trip to the Sahara!
