I could not make my travel with my family due to Covid 19 flight restrictions from Turkey to Germany. DB does not care about this fact as my ticket is not flexible and does not offer any refund. It is imposible to talk to someone since there is no contact number. DB is the worst railway I have ever seen.

Because of COVID-19 I wasn't able to travel to Italy, so cancelled my tickets with DB. Initially, DB offered the option of reimbursement or vouchers, but I requested the former. About six weeks later I just received a letter from them with vouchers, so what was the point of offering reimbursement when they never intended to do so in the first place? Just another awful service here in this country that cannot be trusted. I thought that moving from Britain to here would mean better rail service, but this didn't turn out to be the case, or that much better. I should note as well that Italian rail far superior to DB with great fares and service is very reliable. Rail travel expensive here as well and not reliable, so assume it has gotten worse, or it's another one of those false reputations of so-called German efficiency and reliability.

22.02.2020.. the ICE 694 train directed from Mannheim to Leipzig, departed at 07:32, in class 1 it was a very bad restaurant service with a very bad racist waiter who refused to bring breakfast to my children

My original complain – October 2019.

Journey Brussels – Frankfurt – Vienna on 30 September 2019:
(1) Why was the departure time of train ICE 27 in Frankfurt 1/2 hour earlier than announced? We almost missed our connection!!!
(2) I had a electronic train ticket, i.e. Deutsche Bahn did know my email address. Why the hell wasn't I informed about the change of the departure time???
(3) On the train Frankfurt to Vienna, several (!) passengers had to travel with their bottoms on the floor because not enough seats were available.

Return journey Vienna-Frankfurt-Brussels on 6 October 2019:
(4) On the ICE 26 train Vienna to Frankfurt, several (!) passengers had to travel with their bottoms on the floor because not enough seats were available.
(5) In our railroad carriage #26, both (!) toilets were out of order.
(6) Because of "Kupplungsprobleme" during stops in two (!) different stations, we had an 1-hour delay.
(7) I had to insist before the train controller was willing to inform us about our connection in Frankfurt.
(8) She made a broadcast announcement: Passengers traveling to Brussels had to remain on the train until Frankfurt Airport; there the train to Brussels would be waiting for us on a track on the same platform. However, no such train waiting for us in Frankfurt Airport!!!
(9) The train controller of another ICE train was unwilling/incapable to explain us in English how we could reach our final destination (Brussels).
We had to wait 1 hour for the next train to Brussels. We arrived at home 2 hours later than expected.
P眉nktlichkeit and customer service? It's a joke!!!

Conclusion ( February 2020):

OK. I had to complain to Richard Lutz, CEO at Deutsche Bahn, AND to the Belgian Rail Ombudsman, but eventually, i.e. on 11 February 2020, Deutsche Bahn paid me a compensation of 鈧?128,90.
That compensation was for the 140 min-delay during the return journey.
FOR ALL OTHER NUISANCES THERE WAS NO COMPENSATION AT ALL.

The S1 is very confusing to figure out: how was I supposed to know that the train splits in 2 and only half goes to the airport. Because of this had to run to the right half, but the engineer couldn't wait for me, 10 more seconds: I was pushing the open door button, only to see the train move away. I like many things about DB, but, while waiting here on the platform, getting late for my flight, I "mustered" the time to consider this as star service.

Bahn sieht nicht durch !! Falsche Ansagen, Internet Informationen selbst beim Anrufen werden falsche informationen Preisgegeben.
Waren auf einen Bahnhof der zug vor 1 STUNDE sollte 1 STUNDE versp盲tung haben , er kam nichtder Zug danach STUNDE Versp盲tung wie lange dass wohl noch weitergegangen ist?
