We stopped off here on our road trip, to Idaho. We're glad we did! The art was funky and fresh. We loved the fact that many items were repurposed to create the different pieces.

If you find yourself near Dick and Jane's art spot, GO! It's well worth it!

We loved it so much, we included many shots in our family vlog. Check it out!

Super funky house! Bizarre, creative, unique… Pick an adjective and go with it! Worth taking 15 minutes to walk around if you're in Ellensburg.

Dick (Richard) had some studio work of the reflectors too that is truly spectacular and munch more high end than the more grassroots art on display here. At the time, it was at Studio 1.

We absolutely loved this place! Such a joyful contribution to the community! Highly recommend a stroll around this spot to anyone visiting Ellensburg. You can easily walk around this house and take in everything in 15 minutes (or linger longer so as not to miss any details). Fun for all ages, and it doesn't cost a penny. Truly a local treasure.

Very interesting and specific house. The owners must be the artist and architects, creating so many awesome poles and scenes.

Absolutely worth the stop. The group I was in ended up taking 300 pictures of this delightfully wonky art house. Easy free parking, and enough to look at to keep you busy for 30 minutes to an hour +

Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. There are unique pieces of art that you can view all around the property. It is a private residence so you can only walk around the perimeter. Dick and Jane must be a crazy pair!

Such a fun and hassle free spot to look around at all the beautiful artwork. It's free and you just walk around the outside of the house. Local artists have provided all the unique pieces over the last 40 years.

Found this looking for anything to do in ellensburg since there isn't anything to do in this town. It was a cute little place off the main road. Was made with recycled products and bottle caps.

I believe I found out about Dick and Jane's from Atlas Obscura. I went through the website for Washington and Oregon and bookmarked a whole bunch of odd, quirky places.
This arty house is a private residence so you probably should not go into their yard unless you have their permission. You can see the splendor of their art just walking around their house which you are welcome to do. There is a guest book station also where you add comments and where you are from. It's a fun, free distraction while in Ellensburg.

This is a must see when (not if) you come through Ellensburg. It is an amazing art work in process: a house/fence/yard covered in reflectors! (Plus so much more.)

They aren't "open to the public" but you can see plenty from the sidewalk! They will arrange a tour though if you like. (Not something I've done.)
