DONT BUY FROM DICK SMITH!
Worst experience a shopper could have. IT has taken well over a month to deliver my item and I still have not received it yet, their customer service "help line" is laughable as they have generic responses set up that supply no help what so ever. I've emailed them 5 times and each time it take several days for a response with the same sort of unhelpful useless answer along with a half assed apology.
Dick smith use to hold same value in its name now it's just trash.

Worst online purchase experience ever. Waited a month for delivery for a Christmas gift, and when it still hadn't arrived, after repeated emails and a phone call, Dick Smith finally agreed to provide a refund but are now again refusing to provide one. Do not use Dick Smith!

Same old story, should have read the reviews. Ordered and paid for item on 13th December. Stated would leave the warehouse in 2 to 4 working days. Further investigation reveals that it could take up to two weeks after this to reach the South Island. Who are they using as transport, some random guy with a horse. This is of course not allowing for Xmas so further delays are expected. In addition no confirmation of order received no advice that order has been dispatched. Do not use these guys if you have any alternative.

Really wish I had read the reviews. Same stories as everyone else. Ordered early with shipping to be sent beginning of December. Then delayed. (I'm ok with that, stuff happens) but now sitting goodness knows where, with no updates since 14 December. From what I can see, hasn't even left Australia. Wasn't a small amount of money either, and now I have no Christmas gift for my daughter :'(

Rubbish service bordering on false advertising.
Ordered a Christmas gift at the start of November. Website said it would ship 26th November.
November 30th hadn't shipped and I had received no update. Had to chase them.
Was informed that it would now be shipping 14th December
On 15th December I wrote again and was told it would now be shipping 29th December.
At every turn I had to enquire, no-one even bothered to inform me of the shipping delay.
Staff offered perky generic replies and offered no help or solutions regardless of how lousy their service was.
I won't be buying from them again.

Oh why didn't I read the reviews first! Really a scam as Dick Smith was a known name but now it's "Kogan". Same as others, ordered an item and 2 weeks later it hasn't even left the warehouse!! Then they say another 2 weeks when it does eventually leave?!?!!! 4+ weeks from a ".co.nz" web site! Better off ordering from China directly! Customer service… Does not exist with Dick Smith!

Really, really bad customer service. I ordered an item on 1st December and paid $16 delivery as it stated my goods would leave within 1 -2 working days of delivery. We are now on the 09th of December and it still hasn't left the warehouse. All the answers I am receiving from customer service are vague and basically saying it will leave soon, they have been saying the same thing for the past week. Not once has the lady I am dealing with actually left her seat to look into my shipment or to even track where it is, just keeps palming me off, with how busy they are. They basically took everyone's money over Black Friday and Cyber Monday and couldn't fulfill the demand. It still says on their website now that the item I ordered will be dispatched within 1-2 working days which is a full-on lie.

Waste of time…wait weeks and weeks on pre buy item then they say its gunna be weeks longer….got money back ok but geeze they are bloody hopeless now. One star because there are no -stars.

Pretty much the same experience as everyone else. I ordered from Dicksmith only because we are still in stage 4 lockdown and the product was advertised as in stock. Turns out it is coming from China and surprise surprise they are using COVID delays as an excuse.

The other product I ordered at the same time, has arrived (also from China) and is a complete load of junk. It is a mirror with lights and aside from not even being packaged and covered in scratches, it is not useable as the base is completely uneven and tips over!

The #1 most complained about company according to the Australian umbudsman did not dissappoint!

Utterly disappointed. All goods in my order shipping out of Australia. Have waited for weeks already… (goods in transit). Don鈥檛 wast your time and money with this retailer.

Don't bother trying to save the money
I would give no stars if i could.
I ordered an Iphone 3.5 weeks ago, and for the past 2 weeks it has been held at the port "due to high value".
I also ordered screen protectors in a seperate package, and for the past 2 weeks they have been "en route to destination country". When you email the customer support team, they come across as polite, but in the big picture they are extremely unhelpful. I have asked multiple times what the status of my parcel is, and they simply reply " we have opened an investigation".
If i could get a full refund and take my money elsewhere I would. Unfortunately I am tied up with this poor excuse for a company.

I ordered a pack of masks a month ago. I paid $65, I just saw online that the price has dropped to $34. The worst thing is that I still haven't received my masks yet. I contacted them, and got email reply back said that my mask has arrived in NZ , it will reach me within 3 days. The guy also said that he spoke to PBT courier and they have received my pack. I waited for a week, nothing happened. I spoke to PBT courier and gave them the tracking number ,the lady told me that the pack has not arrived at all. It was not cleared through the Custom as they said. They can't find any item in the system. I therefore ask for a refund immediately as they are not following it up as what they said. It is not acceptable at all . The person emailed me the wrong information. I can't understand why they do things like this. They were telling me things that are not true at all. I will never buy anything from Dicksmith. They were quick in emailing me before, but now I am still waiting for a reply after I asked for a refund. How frustrating and disappointing!

Horrible quality of goods received, looks nothing like the pictures. Never buy from this company. 65 dollars they charged but the goods were not even worth 20 bucks, it was a kogan bike mount and car phone magnet mount.

Selling items dispatched from Victoria in Australia without advising at point of sale. Hiding behind banners of 'dispatched in 2 days' and 'delays expected during Covid' but selling from a .co.nz banner and at no point saying that items are NOT in NZ. Found out when the Tracking number was emailed out post sale. Irresponsible selling. Ordered an item 2 weeks ago… its not even in New Zealand yet. Poor form. Would not recommend buying.

Literally the worst company I have ever bought anything off. If I could put no stars I would. I鈥檝e emailed for at least a week now because they sent me the wrong shoe size, I want to exchange for the right ones but nothing. This is also after I鈥檇 double checked if the size I鈥檇 ordered was right, the person on the help desk sent me a highlighted chart to 鈥渟how the size I鈥檇 ordered鈥?insinuating it was correct then sent me shoes two sizes too big. I鈥檝e since emailed about 4 times, was passed off to someone else once then ignored, then someone asked me to send them photos of the box, labels, shoes with a measuring tape next to them (?!) and confirm my address. I sent everything but the measured picture as I didn鈥檛 have the equipment to do this plus what鈥檚 the point?! I鈥檝e now heard nothing. Again. I get one reply and then ignored. Whatever you do do not Buy ANYTHING from these guys EVER. They鈥檙e an absolute joke.

Only offers store credits for exchanges or returns. Dissatisfied with the customer care response rate. The company just takes your money. The online only set up is terrible. I would not recommend buying from this company even if it is cheap, they are not trustworthy and their policies do not benefit the consumer at all. Its policies only benefit the company. Very bad experience.

Bought a face mask, no sizes on ads. But it is obviously made for tiny people because they don鈥檛 fit adult males properly! This is safety equipment! I contacted them, first the offered to send a bigger one then the next day they said tough, they are out of stock… Can鈥檛 trust them.

These bungholes have co.nz on the end of there web address but they ain't in NZ.
They delivered me a phone in a box that had been opened and the screen film removed. They supplied a charging block thingy with no USB cord so I couldn't charge the phone and it had already been set up in Vietnamese.
They are wasting lots of time writing back and forth making nonsense claims. I hate this company now.

Supplied broken goods, took 2 weeks to assess whether I was telling the truth or not. They offered me a credit!! I reminded them I was entitled to a refund… Don鈥檛 bother buying from these guys unless you want to get wrapped in red tape if things don鈥檛 work.

Dicksmith does not often hold physical stock, so will take your money before sourcing it (often at great time, before cancelling the order due to not sourcing the items).

Resist the slight discount, they are not worth the hassle.
