Appalling! For a company that offers PENNIES for CDs to have the temerity to turn round and REJECT them out of hand beggars belief.

I 'sold' this bunch over 500 items for a grand total of 拢24-odd. Not exactly a money-making result you'll surely agree. For my efforts I have had my account summarily closed on the grounds that the product I sold them was not of a good enough standard! This from a company that offers 1p and 2p on average per CD! I sold them perfectly good items, items I have sold to other buyers without query or complaint for more money, too: their expectations are unrealistic, obviously.

Oh, and their website is a joke: it pretty-much automatically rejects first time every item you scan. It takes several attempts to get it to accept them. Do yourself a favour: save your time and effort for a buying site that actually pays decent money, let alone has honour and integrity. They are not two words I would ever use to describe discflipper. com

I recently used DiscFlipper to exchange a large number of DVDs. The whole process was seamless and easy. The staff were helpful and kept me informed throughout the process. A huge thanks to Richard White especially, I'd thoroughly recommend them.

I'd just like to share my selling experience with Discflipper. First of all the app is probably the easiest, user friendly one out there.Easy ,fast scanning and if you want to re amend your basket it's easy to delete with a quick finger swipe of the item, which other websites don't have.
Secondly the customer service was very good with Richard and his team helping me in resolving any problems, fast, efficiently and with good humour.Well done keep it up and I can recommend this company to anyone as they give very fair prices, more than Zapper,MAGPIE,etc
Best of luck and I look forward in doing business with you again shortly

Spent ages scanning dvd's to their app. Then you eventually get an email but without any relevant details pertaining to post or delivery information on it. You then have to contact them with the details. After a few days they send you an email randomly cancelling your account saying it is 'out of our hands' and there's nothing they can do. Don't waste your time with these clowns.
Complete bo11ocks.

The start of my experience with this company was great, their app is really easy to use and when scanning through my old DVD's they accepted most of them, all except for a few really unknown titles. Once I'd finished scanning, their app takes you to their own website to complete the order and give them all your details. I happily went through all the relevant steps and once the order was confirmed as completed the final page was to arrange a drop-off or pick-up for the box. This page had an error message saying they can't arrange drop-off or pick-up right now and to contact them via email. I sent them a simple email titled 'arranging courier drop off' and explained their website had shown an error message and so would it be possible for them to send me a label so I could get the items sent out to them asap. Their response baffled me a little as they sent me an email saying that I had instructed them to cancel my order! They do say that they apologise if this is a mistake and if I respond they can sort it out so I can get my order to them, but seriously?! How do they confuse a simple 'could I have a courier label to send my items to you' with 'delete my order'. An absolute waste of my time even bothering to scan through the items. If they are that bad at simple email communication I don't even want to attempt to send them my stuff.

I am more giving 5 stars based on the service of Richard White he is a true credit to DiscFlipper! Apps easy to use and good service. I would just say make sure u aren't sending discs even with very light marks or scratches they are strict but apart from that easy use and outstanding service from Richard!

I opened a DiscFlipper account in 2016 and sent in about 200 DVDs and CDs. I had no problems with them initially. The prices offered were competitive, and the parcel was collected as planned. Payment was also prompt and I received an email stating which items had been rejected due to scratches (3 out of 200+ which is perfectly acceptable).
However, I decided to have a 'spring clean' of my DVD collection in February 2017 and scanned in about 250 DVDs. I tried to log into my account but apparently, my account was 'Locked'. I checked my emails and I hadn't received any notifications about my account since I last sent some DVDs and CDs. I assumed that maybe the account had been locked because I hadn't used it for almost a year. So I opened another account and printed the labels etc.
I sent DiscFlipper an email asking if they could unlock my account.
The next day, I was told that the account wouldn't be unlocked, even though in the email they admitted I had done nothing wrong, and I was told something about their system deciding to lock accounts based on administrative costs or something like that.
I had two boxes of DVDs which were ready to be collected – which had taken me two hours to scan in and check the discs – only to be told not to send them because their system will reject them. If I did allow them to be collected, my order would be rejected and I wouldn't receive any payment, nor would my DVDs be returned to me.
So now I have to unpack the boxes and re-scan the DVDs onto another website to sell them
Overall, a very poor experience and the only reason I'm not leaving a 1* review is because at least they had the decency to reply to my emails in a timely manner, and all communications were polite.

Very odd way of conducting business doing 1 trade then closing your account. Very slow in paying as well.

Missed the original courier as of course, the only time I popped out that day was the time the courier arrived. Refuse to rearrange collection. I have to take the boxes to the local drop off point, same as Zapper and Ziffit. The only reason I chose them was because of the courier service and the fact that I cannot physically carry these boxes to the collection point myself. Utterly useless service, don't bother wasting your time.

I took the easy option to weed out CDs from my collection and opted for DiscFlipper as the app on my iPhone was easy to use.

Hmm, I was left less then impressed with the end result though.

The barcode scanner accepted loads of my CDs, gave me what I considered to be competitive prices and so I despatched my goods.

It took quite a few days for my order, once received, to be evaluated and here came the shock !!

DiscFlipper emailed me the list of accepted & rejected items.

I found to my horror that the majority of discs were rejected because ''they don't accept CD singles'', so why on earth did they accept them when scanned using the app.

Honestly, I feel ripped off, so sellers beware.

Despite having a good quantity of my CD's rejected, I still messaged the company saying I would give them a 5 star review because they were an efficient service. However, they have since locked my account because I have used the service just three times in one year! They didn't inform me that they did this, nor why, until I pressed them. To summarise, this company is generally reliable when it comes to making payments (you can just about trust them), but wholly unprofessional when it comes to customer service – they just seem to make up their own rules as they go along.

These are terrible, nothing short of con artists they give you a price but then only select to acsept a couple of items giving you excuse after excuse why they can not longer take your item, but then refuse to send you them back when you ask them. Don't use!! There is good sights that give far better service and more money for the goods use them, like Ziff!!

I tried a different online CD-purchasing company, and they were truly terrible. So far, DiscFlipper has given complete satisfaction. Their Website is easy to use and as I have been selling off parts of my (large!!) collection a bit at a time, in batches of over 25 CDs, I've always had free pick-up. They tell you up-front that damaged CDs or CDs with damaged inlays won't be accepted, and so far I've only had one rejected. The money has always arrived in my Bank within a week of pickup. I will continue to use DiscFlipper until I get my collection under control.

They have been brilliant, fair prices, quick checks and payments, Excellent customer service via email, quick responses and solved the issue we had one time almost instantly. We have a few more discs to send and will be using them for these. Would recommend to anyone.

Everything went very smoothly; I like the way the list of discs can be printed out and be put with the CDs. Postman collected on time, cheque arrived, everytone happy!

After a few hiccoughs, I sold 4 boxes of CDs via DiscFlipper. I'd tried other sites, but this site offered more money for them.

The app works very well and the prices offered are far better than another disc buying service I looked at (I'm sure you know which one). The shipping is easy but do make sure you are sent a barcode for the UPS collection otherwise it won't be accepted at the drop off point. Discflipper customer service sorted this out quickly for me after I was turned away from a couple of outlets. Receiving payment via cheque is a slightly quaint and antiquated system when some form of transfer would seem more relevant these days, but that's minor. I only had 2 items rejected out of 120 which was entirely my fault but thought they might have returned those to me when they sent the cheque as it came in a CD size jiffy bag which seemed confusing. All in all though I would definitely recommend.

I have been using DiscFlipper for a couple of months now to sell on unwanted CD's.I have only sent 6/7 consignments of no more 50/60 CD's at any one time.I then last week told my account was to be disabled due to using them too many times, for a company that states it has over 30 years experience & re-cycle CD's found this absolutely disgusting! I for one will not be recommending DiskFlipper to anyone i know nor would i recommend anyone using them if reading this review. The rude e-mails i received from them when i questioned there decision was also totally unacceptable.

Wouldn't suggest these to anyone, made out most off DVDs were "scratched" they've got a discusting attitude, don't care about customers, I think the whole thing is a scam. Do not use these people!!!!!

positive: i get at least 20p for a CD, even for those that would earn me less on other websites.
negative: too fussy in regards to accepting CDs. I had CDs rejected because their plastic covers were broken. Or CDs that were a little scratched but still performed perfectly.

Possibly the worst website and customer service I have ever encountered. Rude staff, take it or leave it attitude and customers have no way of disproving their finding of "badly scratched discs". Bit of anscam to get goods for nothing. Far better to car boot items or sell on eBay. i would never, never use this company again and would not receommend them to anyone.
