On arrival, as directed I called. Initially no answer but put into answering machine. After 3 attempts , the phone was answered , and I was told the bus was on its way. NOTE: at the rundown dingy building they call a reception area, the phone rang repeatedly and no one bothered to answer. There was only one person at the rental counter, and he was consumed with one person's problem while another was waiting for the manager, where ever he was, to approve giving him another car as the car he was given had bald tires.I finally got my car, and other then a signal alerting me that front radar wasn't working, it was fine. . The RETURN was a disaster as the Drivo's location is on a side road to the airport among many other roads.
SIRI missed it twice and Drive had given no directions. Finally arriving, I was rudely told to get in line to make my return. The line was 6 renters long and again there was only one person behind the counter. I said I had 1hour 15 minutes to make my plane, left the keys on the counter and walked out. From somewhere a woman appeared and promptly checked me out. MY ADVICE: NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY !! Yes, they're cheaper the most, BUT a small savings hardly justifies the rental experience,

One of the attendants then took us to another companies shuttle and we were transported to the airport.
The result was that we missed our flight and the next flight will leave at 6pm today. I am very disappointed in the service that we received.
Please reverse all rental car charges to defray some of the cost to rebook tickets for my family and I. (4) passengers.
Disappointed customer

Bad Service:
Note: they at JFK (off sight location) are close on Sunday, but you can return your car and drop off the keys in the bin as I did. However; when the smarts heads get in on Monday, they will go ahead and bill you as Monday return without confirming with you.
Note: When you call to have it corrected you are likely to be credited in the three days, but for less they had taken out for the extra day. Why? Now you will have to call back. I am process.
When I rent a car I just expect to be in and out, but with this company this was not the case. I give them a 1 rating. My first and last visit (ty).

2- The location of the car park is not clear. It said Newark Airport (Shuttle service) but there was no information on how to get the shuttle from the airport.
I had to phone the central office who gave me a different number to dial.
Indications on how to get to the park to collect the car should have been on the confirmation email.
3- The liability insurance fee is a mandatory fee but was not listed as such at the time of the booking. It is very misleading and deceptive to pretend have been the most competitive prices, only to get them through the doors and forced them to pay mandatory and non previously disclosed fees.
TERRIBLE Service!!! I was VERY upset and does not recommend them.

The thing is: Once you order your car through Economy you don't know that another company is going to handle it. In our case we booked a car through economy, travelled to JFK, were shuttled to Drivo, to find out that liability insurance was not possible. With a prepaid hotel at 5 hours driving landed on a carpark far from JFK we were in no position to cancel the reservation.
In Europe it is illegal to drive without a liability insurance. After two days the risk sank in with me and I called insurance companies that all said NO way any one of us will ever insure a rental car. I called Drivo that said: You knew. I Called Economy rentals to ask for their help to fill in for a fallible subcontracter (Drivo) and they said: Drivo handles it, call them.
Economy advertises the promise that liability is insured. That advertisement is false, because they use subcontractors to fulfill their orders who do not offer liability insurance and Economy wil not fill in the gap afterwards.
If you are a visitor from out of the US, or if you are a US visitor who does not have a car at home with a liability insurance: Do not rent a car through Drivo! Do not hire a car through Economy rental cars either! Unless you are sure of the small print.
