Dsraccountants

If you want an accountant that forgets to file your accounts, confirmation statements, ignores your emails and calls for 5 months, and refuses to admit his mistakes when confronted, David is your guy.

We have been with DSR for 15 years, so don't take this review lightly. Ever since the founder (Moti Rahman) handed the business over to his son David, there were mistakes in confirmation statements, late filings and extremely slow and sometimes non existent response to emails. Whether he stopped caring about us or he's simply disorganized, we do not know, but the service we have received was nothing short of APPALLING.

I emailed David in September asking him to file a confirmation statement with my updated director service address. He ignored my email. I called his office twice, and his employees promised they would pass on a message to him to do it, but for 5 MONTHS I have not received a response or callback. He then filed the overdue statement, FORGOT to update my address, and then had the guts to charge me for it! (Eventually I had to log in myself to change it)

The final straw was when we were fined because he FORGOT to file our accounts for 4 months. We provided him with all the information he needed back in MARCH and we had to remind him about it in JULY when we received a letter from HMRC about it (Shame on us for blindly trusting our accountant to file accounts on time..). To add salt to the injury, I only found out about the fine when I got access to our online tax account. He didn't even bother informing us about it!

We politely confronted him about it, and he had the audacity to blame us that he was waiting for a bank statement that was ALREADY PROVIDED TO HIM. We sent him the email correspondence clearly showing that we already gave him the information he referred to back in March, and asked him to provide evidence of any further correspondence from his end since we sent this over. He replied, and I quote "I don鈥檛 keep records of asking clients to supply missing information." The truth, of course, is that there was no missing information and he used what we gave him in March to file the late accounts. We showed him the emails clearly stating and attaching this information, but he decided to act like a child and pretend the information isn't there.

We have asked him to compensate us to the sum of x3 the late filing penalty (3×100, we must have been lucky they were lenient because of COVID). If this review is still here it means he refused to pay us, so let this be a warning to anyone who considers dealing with David and DSR.
