They'll lock you into a contract.

Yearly contract with what I found to be a woefully inadequate platform for our needs. I just canceled almost 1/2 way into what I found to be a contract for 1 year.

Their software never did what I wanted it to and was difficult for me to use. I decided after a few months that this simply wasn't worth it.

I was never happy with this platform and I highly recommend you look elsewhere for review software, this is IMHO not a platform that anyone would want.

I note that there were a lot of flagged & blurred out feedback here and so I have paid extra attention to no violent, coarse or otherwise inappropriate language, and I have not given accusations that can't be proven, I have given opinion and my perspective which is honest and true.

I received the worst service ever from this company, and now they are trying to scam me. There are plenty of other companies that value your business in the review industry. We had been using them for a few years now. In November 2019, the service wasn't working. I contacted them multiple times to get technical support to fix this on our website. I came to find out that the only technical support was now in Berlin, Germany. They don't even have a U.S. office offer U.S. support. I had to wait a whole day for a single reply from technical support. This happened for weeks, and they still could not fix it. I decided I had to move on and tried cancelling my service. I e-mailed several e-mail addresses and called several numbers but no one would get back to me. The people that answer the phone listed are only paid messaging forwarders. They do not even work at Ekomi. I finally get a call weeks later from an Ekomi representative, and they tell me that my contract autorenewed. That's ridiculous! You cannot make me pay for a service that's not even being honored on your end. I never received any notice of an auto-renewal either. Terrible business ethics!!!

We have been trying to cancel our service for months now. There is no phone number to call and when someone does contact is after sending multiple emails they say someone will contact is to discuss cancelling but no one has called in months.

After not being able to utilize company's services for more than a year, we just learned we can't cancel for another year, because that is how there contract is set up, it renews itself every year. They don't care about Customer satisfaction guarantee. They just want you to sign up and collect your money. I'm very upset

Ekomi promised a lot during our initial sales calls. Enhanced sales due to genuine reviews, mitigation for unfair reviews, enhanced position on google because of our reviews and stars appearing on our google business page.

We signed up for a 12month contract. After 9 months it was apparent that the promises were empty.

Ratings did not appear on our Google Business account. We were not informed that this was at Googles discretion. (Something not previously mentioned).
Our Position on Google did not improve at all. We track this with software.
Our reviews were not correctly mitigated. We even provided evidence of abuse of one of our products, but it was ignored.

How ever the worst part was when we tried to cancel. We ceased to use Ekomi after 9 months and when out contract was almost up, we notified them that we wanted to cancel twice. Both emails were ignored. 4 months later, we received an email for outstanding bills. When we queried this, they acknowledged receipt of our cancellation emails, but stated that our contract was automatically renewed as we did not cancel quick enough. They still billed us when they knew we thought our contract was cancelled. We should have at least had the opportunity to use the service that they had tied us into, but we did not, as they ignored the emails we sent.

There was no cancellation reminder, and although the rolling contract details are in the terms and conditions, we trusted Ekomi to have a fair contract and inform us when our cancellation date was coming up. Especially when we had ceased to used their service.

They are now threatening us with court action, unless we pay a large bill to them, despite trying to cancel and not using their service at all during this period.

CarJet.com WARNING !! WARNING !!
I rented a car from CarJet.com for collection on 29/06/2019 from Birmingham Airport at 12.30 .
My flight Number was EI 3264
The flight was delayed by 4 hrs from Dublin and therefore I was unable to get to Birmingham on time.
I proceeded to collect the car from CarJet Birmingham and I was told by CarJet representative , “ You are over 2 hours late and the car has been given to another customer“
I asked , “was this stipulation on the Terms & Conditions“, and got no reply!.
I requested another car therefore and I was told, “ The money you paid for the Car Hire is non refundable as you are over 2 hours late collecting it , so therefore you can book another car but you must pay for it again “ , which I refused!
I rang Head Office and was told the same. “ Sorry but should you want another car you must pay for it again“
I had 4 passengers with me and luggage and had no alternative but to get a taxi from Carjet to my hotel.
I have checked the Booking and can not see any reference to being late collecting the car.

I used this company for my business for 3 years. First watch for these scammers and they make you sign a contract for a year. What they don't tell you is that they make the contract Renee every year and tie you down. Secondly they Try to scam you and bill you multiple times for the same service month. Even if you have paid it. They give you the run around and you have proof to them that you have paid the invoice, where they come back say oh it was a accounting mistake. If a company has this many accounting mistakes, it would hire a new accounting department. Not the case here, because they are thieves and drive there business on doubling billing.

After finally canceling service in March of 2017 and have it go into effect aug 2017 ( because they had to milk the contract) yesterday 11/08/2018 a year and half later, they had the nerve to email me that I have an invoice outstanding in which again I had to provide proof.

They are still saying 3 invoices are outstanding which I haven't had time to go research and find the payments. Watch out and stay away from these scammers.

This company is the worst company in the review space. Response times to customer dialogs days if not weeks. Their contracts are written so you can't get out of them no matter what for a year and even then you have to let them know 30-60 before your contract period or it starts again. They are still charging me even though we are not using them and I have asked repeatedly to stop… this is even so after last renewal I demanded a cancel at anytime with 30 notice contract. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company… you will regret it!

We've had a relationship with eKomi for about a year and I was withholding my feedback based on some of the negative reviews I've seen to get a more full picture. I help run a small, all-volunteer nonprofit and eKomi has been super helpful getting us to leverage their platform within our budget. Part of our nonprofit mission is digital marketing education, and the staff at eKomi helped us put together a great seminar presentation about review collection/management. The was very educational, full of great data, and not salesy – keeping with our mission. They've also offered to write a blog post about our nonprofit to help promote our programs. It is true that if you go off-platform you lose your reviews, so it's important to understand that risk up front and to continue to solicit reviews cross-platform (G+, Facebook, Yelp, etc.). However the benefit we see in sticking with eKomi is the integration with Google search results and AdWords. Having a star rating in those results is a powerful tool! If things go south with eKomi, I'll be sure to update this review, but so far we have been very pleased with the last 12 months.

In the service industry it's not always easy to get people to remember to leave reviews. People often say they love the service but later my forget to write a review. With ekomi I find that clients love the simplicity of the site and like to be able to leave a reveiw immediately. Thus has generated a lot of new business. Perfect and simple set up. Used since 2016

We have been contracted with Ekomi for over a year now. All was well. We've decided to stop using their services. We gave the correct notice, all looked okay. The day after our agreement ceased all of the historical reviews that we had accumulated simply disappeared from the internet. I contacted Ekomi as this looked like an error. We have paid for each and every one of those reviews. Surely they are ours to keep. No I was told the following.

After reading your request I went to your account and I saw that your contract (and therefore the eKomi service) was terminated the 31.08.2017. As you can see in our T&Cs (section 4, sub section 4.1):
''4. Access, License, Ownership Rights

4.1. Access Rights. After contract commencement and during the term specified in the Order Form, eKomi grants the Company access to the Customer Backend and to the eKomi Customer Feedback System. The eKomi Customer Feedback System enables the Companys End Users Ratings & Reviews to be collected, managed and displayed. These access rights cease with the effective date of an ordinary or extraordinary termination of the contract by eKomi.''

This means that your Certificate Page displaying your reviews is visible and indexed by Google for the duration of your partnership with us and no longer. That is why the Certificate Page is not available any more.

If you would like to discuss reactivating your account with a revised package I would gladly be of assistance to advised you and provide a new offer.

So basically, if you leave you lose all of your historic reviews that you have paid for, instantly.

Ekomi gets 1 stars from me and a big *****AVOID***** unless you want to be blackmailed when you want to stop their services.

Unbelievable that a company can take money from you monthly and is SLOW to react and unresponsive. In most bad review cases it is product related and the only way to resolve this issue is to make the customer happy with a replacement of refund. Once this happens Ekomi makes you provide e-mail evidence that the customer needs to change their review. However, you then get repeated e-mail responses stating that the customers response does not pass their fraud department. Its time to move on to a more reputable company. When ask how you are supposed to resolve an issue with your customer we are told that we cant offer a replacement or refund! When the customer NEVER CONTACTS YOU the only way to resolve a feedback is to reach out to the customer once you see the feedback. I ship thousands of orders daily and cannot call every customer the minute the receive their package and see if its ok, before they leave feedback! Don't say I didn't tell you, try it for yourself! In my own opinion I think this is a one to three person operation because the customer service is horrible!

Do not use!
The software they installed never worked but despite dozens of emails and a letter, they completely ignored everything until we received a demand for payment from a German debt collection company.
Must admit I am quite looking forward to the court case

I used ekomi to review my poor experience with Complete Skin Care. I noticed that ekomi blanked out all of the prices I relayed in my complaint, something that was relevant to my review, which was to point out that CSC has altered their price quote three times during my interaction with them for the same product and that ultimately they lost me as a six or seven year long customer who spent a few thousand dollars with them because of a three dollar final slap in the face that just rubbed me wrong form the rude and inapt person that "helped" me. ekomi did not use the same standards for the vendor's reply whose price references were not blanked out. Moreover, the reply from the vendor is not truthful and as expected, the same inapt person whom I dealt with not only did not cop to her substandard customer service but she resorted to further insults in her reply. I find it odd that ekomi does not allow the complainer to then have the option on commenting on the vendor's comment. It definitely does NOT seem like ekomi provides a venue for honest feedback, their methods are biased to favor the vendor; I'm guessing the vendors pay ekomi for their "golden rating." A waste of time!

Stay way from e-Komi. Un-ethical business practices. Falsifying during the sales process. Software lacks functionality. Doesn't want to make up for their errors. Rigid terms amidst lack of functionality.

We signed up with your service somewhere in October 2015. When we were signing up for e-Komi, to the best of my knowledge, the sales rep mentioned that this is a month to month service. I wouldn't have signed up if I heard otherwise. At the time of signing up, we were with Volusion platform and we were considering the move to Bigcommerce. I was also told by the sales rep that e-Komi will work seamlessly with Bigcommerce.
Had I read the agreement closely when I signed the agreement, I would not have trusted the word of your sales rep at that time.
What's more disappointing is that we were re-signed for another year in 2016. We never receive an email letting us know that we were going to be re-committed to another one year.
Over the past few months, I realized it is important to have a strong UGC base, and with e-Komi's lack of functionality and response, I have decided to change the platform to another service. When I contacted their support team, they told me that I cannot cancel the service until November 2017 and I have to pay for the reviews collected.
I find this has put us, the customer, in a disadvantaged and unfair situation:
1. When we set up e-komi, we were told that your software would work well with Bigcommerce and this is not the case.
2. I also find your rep being dishonest by saying it is a month to month, but charging us for continual annual commitments without our consent, which is very unfair (even though it is my duty to read the contract before signing)
3. I also find re-signing for another one year term when the first year finished to be extremely unfair as well.
4. I find their policy to be rigid about terms and conditions amidst the lack of functionality of your software.
5. They never apologized, accepted or made up for falsifying during the sales process.
6. Wrote a letter to the CEO Michael Ambrose, it doesn't look like it got to him unless he decided not to respond.

eKomi has been harassing us for more than a year after canceling their service trying to collect more money. We canceled our account in March 2016. In September of that year, they claimed we had an unpaid balance due, which did not match our records. We paid what they said was owed and asked them to confirm that that brought our account up-to-date. Then months later, they are asking us for another $50 for an unpaid invoice and threatening to send this to collections, after confirming seven months ago that our account was up-to-date. Further, the technology on their website is terrible, which made it difficult to update our credit card online while we were using their service. We have since switched to Yotpo which is 1,000 times better for collecting reviews and offering spectacular customer service.

Is EKomi US legit or scam? Can I trust EKomi US?
