Evoenergy fitted a 168.00 kWp solar farm back in 2015. I had many issues with their workmanship, some of which were resolved by them while the system was still in warranty. Now the solar farm is out of warranty, and the inverters are starting to show insulation errors. The electricians I got in (not from Evoenergy) said that this was down to faulty workmanship, in that the original fitters had forced the cabling from the inverters to the solar panels down a single duct, damaging the electrical cables. This is now causing water to penetrate the underground cabling. This cabling should have lasted a lifetime. Presumably they are NICEIC certified, and I wonder what their view will be on Evoenergy's work? Evoenergy are just not interested. Even their diagrams were wrong, and trying to get a set of diagrams out of them where the new electricians could understand the system was the devils's own job. Eventually we had to work most of it out from trial and error.

EvoEnergy has let us down. We arranged for solar panels to be installed by another company who arranged for EvoEnergy to come on the same day to install the Smart meter and handle the disconnection/reconnection required for our solar panels to become operational. We received two official letters informing us of the date for work by EvoEnergy and our instructions on how to be ready for the days activities. On the day, the panels were installed in the morning but EvoEnergy had not arrived by 3pm. I called the supplied info number and spoke with a person who informed me that the crew would not be attending on that day, but had rescheduled for 2 weeks later. Our solar company complained on our behalf that this was an unreasonable delay. Our next contact from EvoEnergy was to inform us that due to a "glitch" we could not get our solar panels connected for another 3 months!!! Official complaints are in progress now, but even EvoEnergy's own complaint process won't see us with a resolution for 20 days. Our solar investment has been severely undermined by EvoEnergy and we will be looking to get our electricity costs repaid for the period we should have been generating our own.

Superb. They fitted the panels in Christmas 2014 and left.

In June 2016 the inverter failed (not their fault). Within two weeks, they had got the warranty replacement sorted and installed it.

If only every company was as good as Evo!

After months of rubbish customer service from one of the "Big 6" companies I took the plunge and changed supplier. Elected for online account so all administration and info is readily accessible and easy to understand and navigate. This company understands how to run a business and look after their customers, I give them 10 out of 10 all round and recommend them Highley.
Yes this review should have been for OVO Energy, but I'm sure EVO would be worthy of 5* if I used their services !

We had EvoEnergy install panels and system a few years back. A capacitor in the inverter failed (not EvoEnergy;s fault) in 2015 and EvoEnergy came along and replaced it speedily and at no cost under warranty. Very pleased with their service so far.

Evo were very professional in providing multiple options for our installation of 12 Sunpower 327 panels in August 2014. The installation was smooth and seamless as was the support for obtaining the feed in tariff.
I have now had chance to evaluate the first year's performance and find that we actually produced 3503 kwh against an estimate of 3225kwh. On the standard assumption of 50% own consumption, the system yield was 10.24% which I am delighted with.

The service was very good. Evo were responsive and did everything on time. They were tidy and polite and responded to some small requests after the sales.
They helped me with the FIT application.
I do not know how the solar panels are doing and how much energy they are producing. I am still not sure how to tell if things are not working right. We still have not had an electricity bill so I do not know financially were I stand.

Earlier I gave EvoEnergy a less than good review, as a result of below expectation generation.

Matt at customer service promptly arranged for my system to be inspected, with the result that an installation defect was found. This had resulted in 25% less generation than there should have been.

After some discussion, the Managing Director agreed to pay in full for the lost generation and export payments over the course of a whole year.

All companies make mistakes and some faults are inevitable, but EvoEnergy accepted the problem was their installation work and provided full remedy.

Well done to EvoEnergy, and hat tip to Matt in customer service.

In what is now a very difficult market for solar energy suppliers, they deserve to succeed.

The installation process was faultless, the solar panels were fitted without a problem and the connection to the power supply and registration onto the tariff went without a hitch. We had issues with the removal of the scaffolding, but even then EvoEnergy were very supportive and once advised, ensured the scaffolding was removed as soon as possible. An excellent service and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Not only were Evo Energy the cheapest quote for our solar panels, they were also honest. They didn't encourage us to buy things we didn't need, and even persuaded us not to buy things that weren't suitable, even though it would have made them money. They showed professionalism throughout, and the panels were installed as and when promised.

I felt that EVO Energy gave an excellent service from initial requirements, through the quotation process and again to final install and sign off. I had a named project manager and all appointments were kept. The panels are up and running well and all was completed before the rate reduction at the end of June. Aftercare was excellent and they assisted in the FIT application. Would highly recommend.

My solar panel installation was completed 4 months ago and I have received the first FIT payment, which was slightly higher than predicted. The service provided by EvoEnergy has been excellent, they have been professional and helpful at all times, with no pressure or hard-sell. The installation was neat and was completed to schedule. EvoEnergy was recommended to me and I would recommend them.

We were inititally very pleased with the installation.
Unfortunately our panels were damaged by squirrels and half had to be replaced. Arranging a visit for Evo to diagnose the problem proved time consuming on our part with a number of weeks elapsing from reporting the issue to a visit from the company. A number of diagnositc tests were run, we were not informed of the charges at the time which again was disappointing although we did appreciate that we were not charged for new materials which did not resolve the problem.
By the time it was determined that replacement panels were required a further week had elapsed. Again we had to chase fitting of the new panels with the result that we had scaffolding up for over a month and spent considerable time and effort chasing the company.
From reporting the problem to final resolution took approximately 2 months and a lot of effort on our part. We still feel the final position is to be resolved and for 2 months we have been emailing and more lately calling the company with no response.
I would certaintly have recommended Evo based on my experience of the initial installation as a very professional and efficient outfit. Unfortunately my experience of the work up work has been completely the reverse of this.

We went with Evo energy on the recommendation of a friend and their favourable Which report.
Having previously had two quotes we were pleased with the professionalism of their salesman. The price was favourable.
We opted for a split ESE WNW 4 kW system.

We paid the deposit and waited a month for installation.
The on site team were excellent, however they were delayed a day because the wrong roof brackets and inverter had been sent.
A few months later we discovered that one of the clamps had been wrongly applied showing a false usage. This was rectified with in a few days.

We paid our balance immediately but had to chase the MCS. Three times we phoned over ten days speaking to different people who assured us it was being dealt with. The final person who did issue it said it was the first time they had heard of it. We were not advised that the FIT had to be applied for in the name of the person who paid the bill. Although paid for from a joint account BG wouldn't accept FIT in husbands name so we had to re apply in wife's name as receipt was in her name. This took extra time and we lost some generation.
The accounts office did not respond to email asking for receipt to be altered and reissued to husbands name.
Communication between departments is very poor!

The scaffolders were Gung Ho and broke our neighbours light. It took three phone calls to customer service over a month to get this rectified. Each time we were reassured it would be remedied immediately. Eventually the scaffolders turned up and replaced the shade.

We were advised that our 4 kW system would produce a maximum of 3.6 kW in May, June when light and height of sun was optimal. It has only produced 2.91 and I am awaiting confirmation from Evo as to whether the panels are all working but email has gone unanswered.

The friends that recommended us were made to wait over three months for their 拢250 recommendation fee. They were embarrassed to ask us if we had paid in full for our system. We phoned EVO and emailed at least three times as did they, and were fobbed off about cheques waiting to be signed.

Would we recommend Evo? If they sort out their inter department communication and responded to queries quicker , Yes, but would like my recommendation fee to be sent quicker too if we did secure a sale.

From start to finish had an excellent service from Evoenergy staff. No pushy sales pitch just good honest facts on the Solar Panel system which was recommended 4kw with an optimersion system to heat the hot water. Workmanship was first class on the install.

The most pain free experience. No hard sell. Very professional company. The hardest part was to decide which panels to choose.
The installers were professional,polite,cheerful and hard working.
Best employees awards should be awarded to our three guys!
Can not fault this company, highly recommend!

Evoenergy were referred to us by my parents-in-law. They were knowledgeable and efficient. Their quotation covered all the options we asked for and the options were clearly set out. Once instructed, they arrived when as planned and finished as planned. The installation was quick. The panel layout we chose was not possible when the installation started and we were disappointed that the survey had not identified a soil and vent pipe and valley that obstructed the layout. The solution was easy enough – the soil and vent pipe was terminated in the loft with a one way air valve and two panels were moved. The system has been working well and we are now FIT registered. I would recommend Evoenergy to others.

From the initial enquiry through the site visit, quotation and installation, Evo Energy were very efficient and professional.
They answered all my questions every step of the way, although the final paperwork took a little longer than expected to finalise. Once they learnt of this irritation though they did respond very quickly and this is indicative of a company which takes its customer service seriously.
My power supplier (Scottish Power) wasn't as efficient as they might have been either, but I realise that's nothing to do with Evo.
I would recommend Evo to everyone

From our initial conversation with Noel through to the completion of the job, Evo Energy were absolutely first class.
They were with us every step of the way and kept us informed on every thing that was happening.
On the installation the guys were extremely courteous,nothing was too much trouble and the house was left as they found it.
A fantastic job by a fantastic company.

Quotation excellent both in price and offered options.
Communication good preparing for install.
Scaffolding arrived and departed as promised.
Install excellent as was commissioning.
Then.. the inverter failed on the morning of day 2. Not Evo's fault and an engineer was there the same day to confirm the fault and arrange replacement.
Then poor communication on the provision and installation of a replacement. I had to phone on several occasions to get information and it was not reliable. Eventual installation of replacement 2 weeks later. Working perfectly now.
