Do not waste your time with this company. They contacted me just before COVID-19 began in February, even though we were not originally interested in selling, and said they thought my house was worth $750k -$775k, and would buy for around $740. The market for our neighborhood picked up significantly this spring and summer and we are receiving several calls from realtors wanting to sell it for the high end. Express Home Buyers has called repeatedly asking to buy it before we put on market with a realtor, so I finally talked to someone today. The rep was unprofessional, arrogant, and told me the value was between $750k to $700K, and any offer "would start with a $6". I told him I was not interested, I know the market and will work with a reputable agent. DO NOT use this company or at least their Northern Virginia office.

My wife and I are looking to retire to North Carolina, Instead of 4-5 months of having a realtor show our home, before it would sell, (we have been watching the real estate market, (homes that have sold especially on our road), we were willing to take somewhat of a loss to to sell quicker. Century One wanted to list it at $139,000, being it is in an excellent school district, located near state parks, skiing, walk across the street to fishing, walk to a sports complex, (little league field, soccer field, etc). Without even looking at it, and after not returning a call, they promised to, I called the next day, to send pictures, of the entire property, recent survey, big private back yard, there will never be a home built across, or behind it, (we have owned it 25 years). Without even looking at it, STEVEN told me they would have to put 20 to 30K in it, to turn a profit, selling it. Then, the ultimate insult- he offered me $40,000 for it, stating it was in the country, and too far from any metropolitan areas. Scranton, Pa. is app. 25 minutes away, and Wilkes Barre, Pa. is app. 35-40 minutes away. They just want to take advantage of people in hardship, not people who don`t have to sell, and are inquiring selling to them for the convenience. You cant buy an acre of land in Greenfield Township, Pennsylvania for $40,000. Don`t believe any videos, or testimonials of sellers to these con artists! They are not honest,

Express Homebuyers were quick, professional and did everything they said they would. Their quote was higher than what any agent was willing to list the property at and I didn't have to waste my time with listing and showing the property. I would definitely do business with them again in the future.

Quoted me a price and then tried to give me a lot less. When I wouldn't except their offer they had a open house where a private investor purchased my home for their quoted price. They are untrustworthy and fail to keep their word.
