This was a fail. I called days ahead of my stay at the Peabody and arranged a facial and a massage. Both were the worst I have ever had. I thought about this a lot and do not say it lightly. I estimated I have had 10 massages a year for 15 years – so 150 massages. About the same fo facials. SO out of 300 services,, the two I had at Feathers were THE WORST: Here's my description:

Worst massage Ever: HAZE runs her fingernails down my back for 60 minutes. drops the wet towels at least three times, takes 2 breaks to leave the room, is so completely amped up she is shaking, and her deep sighs as she mans the steamy towel station (before dropping them on the floor) indicate she don wanna be there. She never kneads, massages, anything- Just runs her fingernails on me. AWFUL!! WTF??

Worst Facial Ever: Forgot her name. But when she put GASOLINE on my face ( not really, but that what it felt like) I was done. Another person who left the room for at least 20 minutes while my face was on fire. When I came out, one of the other spa managers saw me and said OH MY GOD and took me in her room and put a hylaronic acid cooling mask on me for 30 minutes to calm the swelling and redness from my face.

So yeah, I go to Memphis a lot, but that will be the last time at feathers,

This review is 2 weeks overdue!!! But I have my next appointment coming up this weekend for the most relaxing mani/pedi that I've had in years!! My nail technician/manicurist is Shalee and she's become a forever friend. She's so professional, nice to talk to and oh so kind. My nails and feet felt and looked so Good! I no longer want to invest in anything that damages my nails and she specializes in natural nail care!! Love it!

Looking forward to my next visit (this weekend) to just simply relax after a long week and enjoy a mimosa (complimentary)!!

My review is based on the spa booking experience, which was terrible. I called the spa on a Friday (one week before I wanted to get the services). I spoke with Dawson and informed I wanted to schedule pedicures for three people and a massage for one of the three. His attitude/reaction was off the entire time we spoke. We confirmed specific times for the services AND he took my credit card information. He then confirmed we were all set and I'd receive an email confirmation. After hanging up, I realized he didn't ask what kind of massage and for how long. So I called back and informed that he didn't ask for that information. He laughed and said he booked me for 60 minutes. I then told him I wanted a relaxation massage because it makes a difference at most spas. Everyone doesn't always do every type of massage. He confirmed again that he had us scheduled. Fast forward 2 days later, no email confirmation. I called the spa and the lady I spoke with told me that she didn't see anything scheduled for us. I asked her to check other days in case Dawson put down the wrong date. She saw nothing and while I was talking, the phone disconnected. I'm not saying she hung up but that's definitely a possibility. I'm so glad this didn't work out because Peabody and the Feathers Spa does not deserve my money. I'm disgusted with the entire experience.

We got a couples massage here. It was AMAZING. Lisa and Debra were the therapists and they did a great job. Honestly haven't ever had a massage as good. Very relaxing and felt like a million bucks afterwards. Steam room and sauna as well.

Not what I expected of a spa in a luxury hotel. Stayed at the Peabody this week and scheduled a 1 hour relaxation massage. The therapist and staff were nice, but the facility itself is lacking. The therapist gave very minimal pressure and it felt like she was just putting lotion on me. She also left the room mid-massage for over 5 minutes, that is not ok, especially if you don't make up the massage time. She was also loud with movements around the table, and did not provide symmetrical application of strokes/techniques. Would not recommend. Don't waste your money on this over priced "experience" very disappointed..

Love this place! I had my hair done here on a site visit and the head stylist spent 4 hours on my hair to make it perfect! He was so meticulous and his assistant was super nice as well! They even put a scented eye pad on my eyes each time they washed the dye out of my hair. Nice touch.

The actual service rooms seemed nice as well and well maintained. Highly recommend!
