I waited 63 years to go on Safari and am so lucky to have chosen Gamewatchers Porini camps. Steve set it all up for us and we visited 3 camps – Amboseli, the Rhino camp and the Bush camp. All were absolutely fantastic and my daughter, who has been on Safari elsewhere could not believe the amount of wildlife that we saw. We took binoculars but didn t really need them as we were right next to the animals and we saw all of the big 5, the Ugly 5 (although they re not) and the small 5! When compared to the Maasai Mara park, the conservancies are sooo much better – only two trucks at a time and so much closer to the wildlife. Can t fault our guides who were all amazing – Wilson, Shadrak and of course Jackson! And Joseph, who took us on an amazing walk. The tents were great and the food – all freshly prepared – was delicious and we didn t have the same thing twice! I would love to go again and the best thing was that we were helping to conserve the wildlife and helping the Maasai people themselves. Saving the pennies and maybe one day….

No words can actually describe our experience at Porini Lion Camp! I鈥檝e always dreamed of visiting Kenya and a great airfare deal accelerated my journey. Upon booking, my husband and I extensively researched safari companies and immediately were impressed with Gamewatchers. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Nairobi, we were well taken care of each step of the way. Upon arriving in the Mara, we were surrounded by all of the wildlife around 鈥?elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, warthogs, hyenas, zebras, impalas, everything! The staff at Porini is five star and we didn鈥檛 want for anything when we were there! From the early morning wake up calls for game drives to the sundowners in the most amazing places, it was beyond our wildest expectations. To top it all off, I celebrated my birthday while we there and I was totally surprised by the staff who made me a gluten free cake and performed the Adumu dance! It was mesmerizing and so special. Porini gives you an experience you will never forget from the wildlife you will see to the ultimate customer service you will feel. We can鈥檛 wait to return!

I just booked my 5th Safari with Julie Roggow from Gamewatchers Safaris. I particularly love Porini Camps in the conservancies. Their excellent guides provide up close, animal encounters without the crowds of the National Parks. The tents are well outfitted with comfortable beds. I so enjoy going to sleep with the comfort of the hot water bottle listening to the night calls of the animals. If you are looking to book your greatest adventure, make sure to contact GameWatchers and make your dream come true!

Gamewatchers have arranged our last three safaris and another coming up next month. Their service is excellent, and the Porini camps offer comfortable accommodation, good beds, en suite facilities, and good food. The qualified guides know where to find the wildlife and know many of the elephants and big cats by name.
Gamewatchers were instrumental in setting up the Conservancies around the National Parks in Kenya, leased from the Maasai owners, providing employment and a wonderful experience for travellers who prefer to escape crowded areas. The wildlife is flourishing in these areas.

My wife and I have been on safari in Kenya, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. We returned to Kenya in November 2019 to stay at Porini Amboseli, Porini Mara and Porini Lion camps. This was our second visit to Mara And Lion camps.
The game viewing and guiding was excellent. The camps were very comfortable with great food and outstanding hospitality.
In our experience Gamewatchers Porini provide works beating safari experiences for anyone serious about African wildlife viewing. Many people return again and again.
Thoroughly recommended.

I have been reading the many positive reviews of Gamewatcher Safaries and Porini camp and could write pages with the same superlatives.
The last 10 + years I and my sister have made at least yearly trips to one or more of the Porini camps from out first visit to Poroni Amboseli 2007 to our latest, but I hope not last, 10 days in Porini Lion October 2019.
We love it all! Every year we say we are now too old for this kind och safari (now 84 and 80years old) and every year when the time approaches we change our minds and start planning a new trip. The extremely helpful staff does everything to make life as easy as possible for us treating us as favorite granmothers and sparing no trouble to see that we are comfortable, So here we come agin this autumn!

What an incredible experience. I had been on several safaris but this one was the very best. Gamewatchers and Porini Camps exceeded my expectations. The eco friendly camps are situated in conservancies which means that there are fewer vehicles on game drives. The animals aren鈥檛 threatened since there are so few vehicles. The camps are very well run, the food wonderful and the staff outstanding. I would recommend this company for your safari experience.

An incredible trip to Africa made even more memorable because of the folks from Gamewatchers & Porini camps! Everything was handled, from gourmet meals to the fellow who was able to gerry-rig an electrical outlet to keep my camera charged when I lost my adapter. No other research into safaris is necessary. Truly, they are one stop shopping.

We have been with Gamewatchers and Porini camps now since 2010. That really says it all. Superb safaris, guiding, camps and people. Most of all the drive to integrate local communities with the conservation effort is hugely commendable. The dedication to protect Kenya鈥檚 true heritage – its bush and its culture – is an example for all safari companies, and all other countries, to follow. Please keep up the great work and we look forward to more wonderful safaris with you.

My husband and I have been on 3 safaris with Gamewatchers. Each trip was beyond amazing! We have stayed at 4 Porini camps; Amboseli, Rhino, Mara and Lion. Each camp is special and offers eco friendly camps. The game drives, drivers and spotters are amazing. Needless to say we will be returning for a 4th visit in the near future.

I have been to the Porini camps several times – without a doubt, they are the best for safari viewing – ask for Jackson…everyone who gets him as their guide always comes back to see him again – he is just wonderful!

Gamewatchers Safari and Porini Cheetah camp are both excellent. I would recommend both to anyone wanting a great adventure.
Gamewatchers were excellent in helping us decide on our trip. They were available at anytime to answer our questions!
Porini Cheetah Camp was amazing. From the hosts Jui and Nirmalya, to the camp staff lead by John to our driver and spotter Edward and Jackson. They all made us feel so welcome and the food was incredible!
You can't go wrong choosing these two!

My wife and I visited in August – September 2019. It was our first Safari. Wayne from the UK was handling our planning, he made it sound too good to be true and to be honest there were times during the planning stage that we thought we were going to be disappointed since he got our expectations very high. It all sounded too good to be true. Damn, true it was. We spent 3 nights each at Amboseli, Rhino and Lion camps. Let me start with a couple of complaints; There weren't enough creepy crawlies in our tents – 2 at the most; the lions were out of key when they decided to give us a close demonstration of their vocals. Now for the good things..fantastic people, fantastic food; fantastic managers; lovely sleeping/living tents, wish i could smile as much as the Masaai people. Each camp is different although they follow the same set up and rules. Each location manager is different but again all go out of their way to ensure you're happy and meeting your goals. The spotters and guides/drivers – what breed. Super people, they are so authentic in their smiles, laughter and going out of their way to make you smile. I miss the bush breakfasts at the Lion camps. You will definitely find cheaper, but not better.

I went on safari with Gamewatchers this passed Oct. Everything was beyond my expectations; the game drives, the Porini camps, the staff, the food, and of coarse the animals! I hope to go back this year. You should go too!

We stayed in three Porini camps, Amboseli, Cheetah and Lion for three nights each! Absolutely amazing, can鈥檛 believe we got to see so much up close! The staff exceptional, really got to know our guides and spotters who were knowledgeable and really helpful, food was great, everything exceeded expectations!!
Wayne at Gamewatchers Walked us through the process of itinerary and all the pick ups/hotels in Nairobi.
We thought it would be a once in a life time trip, but now we can鈥檛 wait to return and would highly recommend Gamewatchers Safaris and Porini Camps.

If you want a safari experience far exceeding any other camp or guide, I highly recommend Gamewatchers and Porini Camps. From our very first inquiry call to a reach out from an email the owner, Jake after we returned, we were treated like their most important client. We stayed at Porini Cheetah Camp and this intimate tented camp is first rate and happily far away from the masses of other tourists. Our camp hosts Jui and Nirmalya and their amazing staff and crew made sure we were well taken care of, including the most delicious meals. We鈥檙e already planning our next trip. Choose Gamewatchers and Porini Camps – you鈥檒l be so incredibly happy that you did.

We had been on several safaris before but our trip with Gamewatchers was definitely the very best experience. Everything, from accommodations, to food, to transportation, to guides, to attention to detail and helpfulness of all the staff, I cannot praise too highly. I am an avid photographer and was excited by all the wonderful photo opportunities that were afforded by our very competent guides. We had a wonderful time with them, and my memories will remain for a lifetime, even if I never have another opportunity to travel with them.

Best Safari trip ever, and we鈥檝e been on a few with other companies and in other parts of Africa. Excellent guides, who knew just where to look for some of the more elusive animals, and the best places to get the perfect photograph. Accommodation and food, also excellent, catering also to vegetarians. Stayed at Porini Mara, and Porini Lion. We left with a heavy heart, but it didn鈥檛 take long before we have decided to return, this time a trip to Porini Amboseli. We can鈥檛 wait!

First timer! A truly transformational experience. My daughter has planned this wonderful experience through gamewatchers and nothing was disappointing. We stayed at three camps: Amboselli, Rhino and Lion Porini camps. The accommodations were superb and the services were first class. The chefs, the staff (all locals of course) and the managers always went beyond their respective duties to insure our confort and enjoyable stay. The guides became our friends and like family during our daily outings and beyond. We have experienced so much in such a short period of time ( 11 days) to last us a lifetime. We cannot forget the wonderful friendships we established along the way with guestS from all over this wonderful planet. Everything that was promised was delivered and much more. We shall be back soon Inshaa Allah (God willIng).

We went on safari to Kenya in October 2019 and everything from beginning to end was the most wonderful experience. Wilson airport was a hoot, local flights were smooth, on time and I鈥檝e almost got over my fear of flying! The 3 camps we stayed at were well run, welcoming, with great food, comfortable tents and our guides and trackers were so knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us. We saw practically all the wildlife we wanted to and have spent many hours since reminiscing and pouring over all our photographs. I think a return might be on the horizon!

This was our second safari with Gamewatchers and it was as spectacular as the first! From the moment they pick you up until dropped back at the airport you are totally taken care of. The Porini camps are so comfortable. The camp managers and staff at all the camps are so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and familiar with the area. Before I went to Africa I thought it would be a once in a lifetime adventure. Africa touches the soul in a special way. I loved it so much I had to share it with my daughter. We had the most amazing time at Porini Amoboseli, Mara and Lion camp. I can鈥檛 imagine not returning. Already planning our next safari and I know Gamewatchers will make it another unforgettable experience!

From the moment you first speak to them until the moment you get home and think of re-booking you know you have chosen well, very well.
Anything they can do to help is done. Details given are accurate and very useful to both first time travellers and people like us who have travelled lots.

The Porini Camp are fabulous, we have stayed at all of them bar Nairobi Tented camp and have also tried the adventure camps.
They are all different and unique in their own way and all are staffed by locals from the communities that own the land. The whole conservancy project is why we first chose them and why we will continue to use them.

There is nothing that is no just how you hope it would be.
