A good company with a pretty frustrating website. Their prices are pretty good, the service is very good. I just wish their website only showed the items they have in stock and that the filters worked.

Ordered on line several times over the years and not had any problems – goods arrive on time and well packaged. Have used customer services to sort out a couple of hiccups with items gone out of stock and all been sorted with quick phone call.
When I left a rod on my order by mistake that was out if stock and not due in this year, I phoned up, got a refund next day and the person I spoke to took the time to advise on suitable alternative and a matching real which I then ordered and arrived 2 days later.
Have seen some stinking reviews but my experiences have been positive even when quite clearly my error. The stock range is really good, the prices overall are reasonable and find website ordering easy.

Brilliant service.
I've used these guys a number of times over the years. Always been a grand service. Only one problem where I received a rod where one of the eyes was manufactured wrong. They sent me a replacement the next day and said I could keep the one I had as the good half could be kept as a spare. Cant say better than that! Much more help than some of the other big name fishing retailers.

Terrible customer service avoid will use anglers direct from now on
They avertized product in picture and send a different one than in picture then say well it's in the discription
And would rather loose over a thousand a year in our future purchases. For the sake of 拢5
Arrogant manager and customer service rep had a tiff send it back attatude well words spreading as our club is 500 members not a good way to treat new customers not 500 of them purchased for club

Purchased waders over the phone at which point they were very helpful. I was told that due to current restrictions goods might take longer to arrive, which is perfectly understandable. After one month the goods had not arrived, despite them taking money for them. I also received no receipt. When I called to enquire first I was hung up on, then when I tried again I was told that they sent me an email to explain that they no longer had the waders I purchased in stock which I had never received (turns out the address was wrong). I wasn't offered an alternative pair but was given a 'refund'. They were unable to provide a proper receipt or documentation of this refund but the best they could do was a screenshot. Then they hung up with no regards or thank you. I have left this experience concerned that this company has my card details, that they might actually be scamming me and with no satisfactory paper-trail that is good enough for the company that I work for. We purchase waders regularly and I will advise coworkers to avoid Glasgow Angling Centre until they sort out their customer service. And I will anxiously await my refund coming through.

I recently bought a reel on a super offer (almost 50% off) from Hardy. I can inlu say that the delivery was faster than Amazon prime. Placed the order at 11 am and received the product 24 hours later.
Hopefully i won鈥檛 need to see how they handle warranty issues.

Update: second order from them arrived as advertised on the web. Few days for the product to be dispatced (as allready stated on the website) then 1 day tracked delivery with ups.
Five stars for the service especially for these covid times.

I recently left feed back for this company.?..
Whot I did not no wos is this company is also known has the…FISHING MEGA STORE.COM .
I ones agen i have had to open a dispute with PayPal over a item I purchased over two weeks ago and still not received it.
I had no response to messages and three days on no response to PayPal request for then to contact them.
How this company treats is customers is a disgrace.
They sell items noing full well thay don't have them and take ower money .
Thay have the attitude of could not care less we have your money tuff luck..
Buyers take my advice do not deal with .

IF A COMPANY CAN TREAT ITS CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS.
THAY DESERVE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS
MY Advice is to look als were .
two company's i can recommend breakaway tackle and veals fishing tackle both are excellent. And if thay don't have thay don't sell it.

Rubbish service. Can鈥檛 get their deliveries out in less than a week. Mine took 8 days, despite selecting their 鈥淐ourier Delivery鈥?for 拢6.95. How come other retailers (eg John Lewis, Amazon) can get theirs out in less than 48h, even in the midst of the Covid crisis? The other problem with GAC is a very high % of the items in their catalog/ website are actually out of stock. My advice: choose someone else.

Poor! Ordered a week ago still no items received. Eventually had an email back but gave no clue at all when my order will be despatched. In fact they didn't even care. First time customer and will definitely be the last time I order from this company. Quick to take your money but it's 50/50 as to whether you will receive what you paid for.

Crap service, waited a week for an order only to be told they are still waiting on stock. Everything was in stock when the order was placed.
Fortunately all the items are on eBay and knocked 拢20 off the bill.
eBay and Amazon will eventually sink you treating returning customers like that. Best of luck 馃憤

Had used theae fellas for a good few years , always advertising sales etc. However recently i had an order sof small items took a very long time to come. And ny fishing partner in northern ireland had ordered a beachcasting set up ,i unfortunatly reccomended GAC , so he found something in stock he wanted said it would only take couple days… its now been over a month. They refuse to reply so literally just stole the money ! Absolute cowboys will not be using again better going to smaller independant shops

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PURCHASE.

I brought three seats from Glasgow Angling Centre (also know as fishingmegastore.com) and paid their extortionate postage costs. I opened the package and found that the same three products I ordered, with the same three barcodes were three completely different shades of green (not even close). They are also three different materials, one is smooth one is shiny and the other is as the picture on the website shows.

After contacting support I have been told that I can send the item back for a refund however I have to cover the cost of return all the way to GLASGOW even though I am not the one at fault.

Support also told me that the item is now discontinued and that I have got the last three in stock so it seems that I have been lumbered with the last three mismatching ones that no one else wanted.

BE VERY CAREFUL AS WHAT YOU BUY MIGHT NOT BE WHAT ARRIVES AT YOUR DOOR

I will never recommend this company with poor customer service. They are happy to take your order and if you have any problems with the product, they don't answer your emails and if they do answer after a month, the company doesn't take responsibility for the damaged item. 馃憥馃憥馃憥

Shocking level of poor customer service.

Second hand goods sent to me and zero response or acknowledgement!

I purchased several items from Glasgow Angling Centre and two item arrived that had very clearly been extensively used; paint worn off the edges and rather scratched and scraped.

GAC cannot even be bothered to respond or acknowledge my emails.

This is not the first time they have done this to me or fellow anglers.

I doubt I would ever purchase from them again.

Three months to deliver a Rio line. Emailed them after one month to be told I would get it when they got it. Emailed after two months got no reply. Finally emailed the owner Paul Devlin and the warehouse operator claimed it had just arrived in (5th November order placed 30th August). Wouldn鈥檛 have minded if I had been responded to.

I bought gear using a gift voucher. I bought more than the value of the voucher so had to pay the balance with my debit card. However when I checked my account the total amount had been debited from my account even though I had entered the voucher number. I contacted them regarding this matter. They sorted out the error immediately and reimbursed my account with the value of the voucher.

Another the note the goods arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

All in all, a very good service.
