If i could give 0 stars, i would without a doubt. This company is TERRIBLE. If you can request your package be sent by ANY other company. I recommend you to do it. I was waiting for a delivery of a weight set of 20kg i ordered off of Amazon. This "company" if it can be called this decided to not bring it to my house (putting excuse that i was not home while i was actually in quarantine for that whole week) and dropped one of the two packages off at a post office (not even the nearest one to my house but one further away) the package of 17.5 Kg where i had to carry the huge package by hand (as i don't have a car) across 500m and ended up with a wound on my fingers. And they decided to drop the other package off in a whole different district because why not? 1 km away without informing me this package was at a pick up location. I had to call the original company to give me the location of this package and the pick up shop is closed. If i can sue you, i will.

I have a simple advice – if you value your time, DO NOT use this company. As you can see from dozens and dozens of reviews, they basically don't deliver the packages as a rule. Then they claim that you weren't at home. When this happens to so many people so many times, you can't but suspect that they just didn't come at all. Eventually, out of desperation, you go to the collecting point and collect your package yourself.

BEWARE GLS delivery partner is hopeless in Austria, dont deliver to customer just a parcel shop and dont tell customer where it is. result??? Very annoyed customer and very frustrated seller as the parcel just comes back. Waste of money. BEWARE Royal mail tracked and DPD use GLS as delivery partner in Austria so dont use them either.

Absolutely terrible! We were waiting on 2 parcels. After checking the tracking number online, they were marked as 'delivered', despite us not receiving neither the parcels or a delivery note telling us they were at a GLS station.

After being sent through about 6 different people on their company phone, we finally found out they had been waiting at a particular local GLS station. We went there to then find out they'd held it for a set amount of days and had to return it to the sender.

Absolute shambles of a company, and we weren't the only ones suffering this. When I went into that GLS station, the lady there understood our frustration and pointed to the stacks of parcels behind her that people hadn't picked up. She also suspected the driver had treated others like us and didn't knock or leave a delivery note.

Terrible terrible terrible company. Not only do I not recommend them, but when people ask any mail related questions, I go out of my way to steer them away from this joke of a company.

I have sent 10 packet through GLS. The packets were delivered teared up and broken. I am amazed of how low quality these Austrian service work! They are being irresponsible to our broken packages and give us this line:
you should not have accepted the broken package!

they are doing their best to not to pay back what they have done. Dont use their service as a private customer. They are fraud.

There is not even a possibility to contact them directly. How hard it is to do a decent delivery work. Really disappointed

Although I was at home the whole day I found a sticker-note that I have two packages waiting for me at a Packetshop. I was not expecting any packages from anyone. I went nevertheless next day to this shop to see what packages they had for me. They said that my packages are still on the way! I went the day after AGAIN and they told me that my packages are still on the way. I tried to track down the packages and the number is wrong…

This is one star too many. They NEVER deliver anything to your home even being home the entire time. They stick a note on the entrance door in a massive apartment complex so you are lucky if you even get that.

They have NEVER delivered any parcel sent by Royal Mail in 4 years. I count 29 parcels/letters lost. AVOID ORDERING ANYTHING WITH ROYAL MAIL IF LIVING IN AUSTRIA.

Almost every time the content or at least the package is damaged. The staff often cannot speak German and is very rude. Once a gls driver even hit my car and then he wanted to drive away without let me know about. The delivery often takes an unnecessarily long time. Sometimes packages with electronic components are left on the street in the rain.

They never deliver to home, only to a parcel shop over 10 km away. The detailed shipment tracking on their website always claims: "The parcel could not be delivered as the consignee was absent", which was never true, because I work from home. They also don't inform me in any way that the parcel was left at the parcel shop, I only find out by going to their website and tracking it there.

The worst service ever!!!
they do not even try to deliver the package, they left it in a shop far away from the address!
Service line is almost inexistent, they are not helpful or even polite. I tried to solve an issued and they hanged up the phone!
I hope it will go bankrupt soon, this kind of firma should not ever existed

Have been waiting for my parcel for 2 weeks. I was always at home and somehow they could never deliver it. They kept on postponing the delivery date (letting me know the same day, of course) and when I called and asked what the problem was the answer was: change you adress (pretty difficult if you only have one appartment) or come take it at the station (also pretty difficult as it is 30 mins far away by train). The info email adress is an embarassing way of communicating, as they will always answer with a pre-written email and never give you any kind of explanation or apology. I really wonder how a company like this can survive.

Extremely rude and unprofessional

i've been waiting for an express delivery for more than a week now and, although the pack is 15 km from my place, they somehow don't manage to deliver it even if I've been home for two whole days in a row. Unprofessional and unhelpful client service.

I had 2 deliveries with GLS. And in both cases though I was at home, delivery said couldn鈥檛 deliver and it left in paket shop, which doesn鈥檛 work based on the schedule they had in the website. Never received any notification where my package dropped at in my mail box or anywhere. So I鈥檓 pretty sure they have never got even close to my apartment. This is very annoying. Very unsatisfied.

I made an order last Wednesday from a new Austrian company and subsequently received a delivery note advising me that GLS would be the postal service responsible. It's now almost 1600 on Monday and my old fears for this service are returning! The packet left the local depot at 0734 and they can't track it since then! Some months ago I ordered something on-line and it followed exactly the same meandering path. On that occasion I found the usual "While You were Out" notices in my Postbox, even though I had been at home the whole day. Some years ago I experienced the same Postbox notices with GLS and one late afternoon I saw one of their employees stop close by carrying a handful of papers. Before I could answer our door he had left another "While You were Out" notice and a neighbour told me that he had ran around the road posting notices and had driven away at high speed. It would appear they have not changed!

GLS are rubbish. This is the second time that I have tried to send a parcel to my friend in Austria from England. Despite using the tracking number Royal Mail gave me to track that the parcel had been 鈥榙elivered鈥? my friend confirmed that they had not received the parcel at all. They received a note to say they needed to collect the parcel but GLS Austria do not give the recipient enough time to go and collect their parcel, as today I have received the parcel I sent to them back again. I鈥檝e even heard conciliatory comments like 鈥榃ell, at least your parcel came back, so you haven鈥檛 lost its contents!鈥?

My advice : if you want to send a parcel to Austria, make sure your postal company sends it via a service where it does not go via GLS! In Britain, for Royal Mail, that means using 鈥業nternational Tracked鈥?as that uses the national Austrian postal service, not GLS. If you send via 鈥業nternational Tracked & Signed鈥?it will go via GLS, and you will be lucky if it gets to its destination!

Horrible service
I took the day off waiting for the package, at the end of the day, I saw in the tracking sequence, the package could not be delivered, since no one is at house, and in addition to this not even a notification was left behind.

I took a day off from work because I didn't want to miss my package being delivered. Then while working on my laptop at my desk, an email popped up informing me I should pick my package from the nearest packet shop because 'unfortunately I wasn't home when the driver dropped by to deliver. What a crock of poop. This is the second time GLS has done this. The first time was in December. The driver didn't even leave the usual notification in my post box. They dropped my package to the packet shop. Seriously, this is the worst company. Ever. I wonder if the management even reads through the reviews. I called their office immediately and the guy chirpily tells me the package is already at the shop. I even told him I was here. Took an off day. He was like "I will forward this to my boss, but I can't promise you anything."
What a terrible service.
I work at a hospital which is the reason I took a day off. I don't have time to go pick my own packages when I've paid for shipping and made sure I was home to avoid missing the delivery. I don't even have any more days off. Funny thing is, I was expecting other packages from Amazon.de. They were delivered at my door a few minutes before the aforementioned email popped in my mailbox.

At this point I'm not even sure this company will ever get their act together. I wonder why the other companies keep using a company like this one. Disappointment is an understatement.
