A better choice is Comics Kingdom. It has: Better service, better streaming, better selection.. GoComics is getting worse, not better.

Good site with free comics. Some people say there's a lot of popups, but just get an ad blocker and you'll be fine.

I created an account and commented about how Jump Start is the most preachy, heavy-handed, moralistic comic strip ever, and I wish it wasn't in my local paper! The comment was gone by the next day. I guess they have fragile egos over there…

I feel betrayed by GoComics. I was their customer for a number of years, after coming across their Android App that allowed me to read my comics on my tablet. Suddenly, unilaterally, they ended support for the app, and they refused to refund me for the remainder of my subscription, by claiming that they never promised the app.
Utterly unacceptable.

Love this site when I'm in need of a smile or a good laugh.

I renewed by credit card for a year.Within 10 days I stopped receiving the comics I'd susbscribed to. When I opened a ticket they told me I had not renewed even though my account shows clearly that I have.

It's possible to dig out a support phone number, and they claim they will answer it eventually – but they don't.

Taking your money then denying you've paid amounts to fraud – whether they intend it or not. So I'll be contesting the credit card charge.

Gocomics certainly does seem to be doing the interwebs a good service by providing the worlds comics in aggregate. But upon navigation the spammy/popupnesses rear their ugly heads. Caution children I suppose for whatever content awaits in said spam/popup.

Current: 8/21/2014 Rated: Other
This site may have changed its business practices. I don't have time to verify the trustworthiness of this site at this moment. Given my past rating, I'm not going to call it trustworthy.

Archived: 10/25/2009 Rated: Scam
A fool and his money are soon parted.
This site claims to give you access to comics dating to the first one, after subscribing by giving them your credit card details. Considering the nature of copyright laws, my guess is that:
THIS SITE IS FRAUDULENT!!! "

Great site. I have been a paying member for more than 2 years now, and I have never had any problems. My wife continued using a free account for the same time and she never had any problems either. Just last week she finally decided to pay the $12/year to get all the extra features.

Great website. Super well done and organized. High quality comics with a nice zoom feature. I am a Peanuts fan and this has Peanuts that you can go back to the first one made. Click on the calendar once you pick the strip. I went all the way back to Monday October 2, 1950 and saw the first one C. Schulz printed. I could not find this even on Peanuts.com. Shame on you Peanuts.com. Hooray and long live Gocomics.com

Great comics, I use this to see Calvin and Hobbes whenever I open Chrome.
And to those who say it has annoying ads or pop-ups, just get Chrome or Firefox with AdBlock Plus and quit complaining.

This site generates pop-ups to untrustworthy sites (today: credit report scammers).

I start the day with this site, even as a kid I knew the best way to read a newspaper was start with the comics.

With Firefox I have never had problems with popups.

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to some things: eating sushi, getting an iPhone, finding out that you don't have to suffer through motion sickness – that there's actually a pill for that kind of thing (which would have saved me a lot of suffering through my one week trip to Vietnam years ago). I stopped watching cartoons at the age of 6 or 7 and hardly read comics as a child (other than Beetle Bailey, for some very odd reason – why would a small Vietnamese girl feel drawn to Beetle Bailey?).

At the age of 25, through my desperate attempts at finding something that would engage one of my students, I found Calvin and Hobbes (or as another student referred to it, Calvin and Hobos). After reading a couple comics, I was hooked, and with this obsessive personality, I went out and bought every Calvin & Hobbes book I could find. It's probably the only thing that I consistently laugh out loud at – though I sometimes find myself concerned about Calvin's attitude and reckless behaviors' influencing my students' behaviors. After a second's thought though, I'm back at it.

When I left the first school at which I taught, I left my C&H collection behind for the boys to enjoy (which they did, immensely). I was reminded of those books as I recently found my extra copy of Yukon Ho! (not the best but still good) in a pile of books. Eventually I'll restore my collection, but the website will do for now – a C&H strip a day to accompany my cup of coffee – doesn't get much better than that.

I used to get a daily Garfield comic from this crowd by email, never spammed me or did anything, though this is back from their myucomics.com days.

Site is good, does exactly what its supposed to.

Good site, doesn't give unrequested e-mails, but does get paid by many untrustworthy, annoying adds and popups. Also, it sometimes inserts tracking cookies on Internet explorer, a problem fixed by Chrome.
