Aspiring actress gets scammed by fake director through a reputable casting website known as NYCCastings. After contact I received emails from [email聽protected] that was linked to their casting services websites which seemed legit at the time. They even took the liberty to create a "contract" to sell the idea. I was sent a check for 3,860 US dollars to deposit and take that same amount out and deposit it in a bitcoin wallet for a "testimonial video" about the bitcoin machine. Fortunately was only scammed off $400 instead of the full amount. I tried to trace the phone number and came to a conclusion that it's a burner number as no results would show up. (4153263002). After a couple of days the check bounced. I then studied their website and the more I researched the fake site I realized that all of their texts are copied and pasted from other legit agency sites. Their agency phone number doesn't work and their NYC address isn't even an address. Aspiring actors/actresses, don't be like me, as real as a casting might seem, if someone sends you a check to move around money IT IS NOT LEGIT. DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE OR PERSON. If I get my money back due to their legitimacy, I will take this down, until then I will be taking the appropriate measures that I see fit to warn others.

I am an actress, and I received an email from this person posing as a casting director for, Hallmark. For some reason he said he was casting for a banking commercial, even though he's supposed to be from Hallmark. It is clearly a scam, and I don't want new actors to get fooled! Thank you!
