Very disappointed that the room did not come with a refrigerator or microwave. The hotel was completely empty.. but I was told "Your 3rd party booking won't let us change you." I have never stayed at a Hampton Inn that did not provide the basics. You get the basics at a Motel 6…
I travel 200+ days a year and have frequented Hampton Inn as well as Holiday Inn Express. Because of this I will no longer frequent Hampton Inn and will exclusively use Holiday Inn Express.. Why would I waste my money and not get the basics.
Very disappointed with the service

We were bringing lots of business in for graduation weekend- and wanted to make a few changes to our reservation. We had three separate families staying two nights and one family could only end up staying one. Therefore, we needed to change one reservation. We spoke to the manager, CHRISTINE RITCHIE, who calls herself the "end of all ends." She was the WOST person we have ever spoken to. She assured us we couldn't make that change to our reservation and preceded to laugh. We asked to speak to the owners, for which she said there "was no one else above her but we could try to call Hilton if we wanted with a chuckle." We asked why she was being so rude and wondering why we could be civil about soling this matter and she said "she could do as she pleases because it wasn't a recorded line." She then HUNG UP THE PHONE.

She cancelled our reservations for all three families staying she can refuse business to anyone. She really turned a special weekend into a nightmare

We most definitely took this to a corporate level with Hilton and spoke with MIKE, who had us write a formal complaint and assured of this would be taken care of. I hope this lady gets a dose of her own medicine because you absolutely do not treat humans in this matter. Unbelievable.

There was a doll over at Red Lion who was so sweet to accommodate us and we know she will make graduation weekend special!! Go stay elsewhere!

The room was clean, comfortable bed, quiet and nice breakfast. I am removing two stars because the room for 154 a night did not have microwave nor mini-refrigerator!

We were in Yakima for three days for a family funeral last year. The whole extended family stayed here. I have nothing negative to say about it. The rooms were very comfortable, and the morning free breakfast was very good. The place is a little bit hard to find, unless you have a GPS, but that's not a problem. We would stay there again, say, if, we were touring wineries in the Yakima area. Also, there's very good value for a very nice lodging. Check in was easy, and we even got a late checkout of 3 PM on the last day we were there, since we had to fly back here to Eugene at 6 PM, and we wanted some place to stay other than for three hours at the airport.

I have been here a few times. I don't mind it at all. It is pretty clean and the staff was supportive. The breakfast was normal. Tip: this place is pretty far from downtown (5-10 minutes?) in comparison to other hotels.

But it was clean, great service, and the breakfast is pretty standard for a hotel breakfast. Probably more options than most but the quality is the same.

Cleanliness: 4
Staff: 5
Breakfast: 3

We were on a road trip from Arizona to Glacier National Park, then to WA, OR, NV & return to Arizona in late June 2017. We decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn as it's one of the better/nicer Hotels in this location. Our very clean room had two queen beds that were great but the cost was $244.02 + tax. Sometimes, while traveling you hit a Town where the Hotel is costly due to local events or time of year. The reason why we stayed in Ellensburg was to take a break from driving. We wanted to be near Seattle for the next day. Parking was not an issue at this Hotel. The Hotel was quiet at night and we got a good night's rest.

Very disappointing I travel for work I've never stayed in a Hampton as bad as I his one. Got in my room went to wash my hands bathroom sink had black beard stubble in it, OK I rinsed it not to bad. Something left in the fridge so I threw it away but I nearly lost it when I went to take a shower the next morning grabbed the towels and the top towel was dirty!

Then I call to get a new one, no real empathy to the issue I would have apologizing profusely if that were me!

Asked for my receipt to he emailed had call a few hours later to get it??

Won't be staying there ever again!

This Hampton Inn in Ellensburg is an older property that is kept in very good condition with a friendly smiling staff. The sleeping rooms are small and not furnished for more than one person to stay and have any potential to be comfortable while awake.

My king room had a straight back wooden chair and a desk chair. In order to watch TV you can choose to sit on the end of the bed, on a padded footboard bench or in the bed.
I don't relax like this at home and I certainly don't expect it when I am working on the road a week at a time and paying well over $120 a night either!
Past Hampton Inn standards would have at a minimum, an easy chair with an ottoman rather than a straight back wooden chair. It seems that the Hampton Inn furnishing standards are going down as fast as their prices and profits continue to rise!

Listen Hilton property owners, as your prices rise, so do my expectations!

As a Hilton Hhonors diamond member, I have stayed at Hilton Hampton properties all over the US for over 25 years and this Ellensburg, WA example is not what they use to be to earn my long term loyalty as a customer!

This particular Hampton Inn is forgetting they are selling comfort to people for a day at a time at a premium price, not just renting out a well used mattress on a bed for a few hours!
Yes, comfortable chairs are an investment that you will earn a return from satisfied customers! If you want to offer low budget accommodations, you should charge low budget prices!
To earn my travel dollars this room does not meet the standards I continue to expect from all Hampton Inns.

I stay in Hilton Hampton properties almost exclusively 60-100 nights a year. This is a sleeping room hotel only. There are no suites or King Study (sofa) available like most other Hampton Inns offer in this price range. I will say the room is better than some & worse than others. If you must be in Ellensburg it is clean and for the most part quiet.
If you are staying for more than one night, there is much better value and comfort at another brand in this town! if you only want a bed and no other room amenities, this is your place.
For my next trip on I-90, I will end the day in a different town and avoid an overpriced, tiny and uncomfortable room.

What bothers me the most about this experience is the Hilton website doesn't help me to differentiate between the good properties that I have grown to expect with a large comfortable room and furniture from the ones like this that will be guaranteed to disappoint me when I check in!

At the end of a long day of driving and sales calls, I hate these surprises!

The online check in offered by Hampton/Hilton Points reduces the wait time at the desk. My keys were ready and I didn't have to sign anything. The room was spacious! However, the pillows were far too soft – many people need more support, not more pillows Clean and quiet with a decent morning breakfast. Close to the I90 and a short 5 minutes to downtown Ellensburg. Good choice!

We were passing through on a busy weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to have a nice clean room with excellent staff. Will stay here again.

Stayed at Hampton Inn, Ellensburg, this year for our Clerk's Fall Academy. I've had some bad hotel experiences in Ellensburg so I was seeking something more than a [email protected] room for $100/night.

Hampton Inn delivered in spades. The hotel was clean, tastefully decorated, looked new, and higher end. I felt safe and comfortable here.

The bed was divine, the pillows soft and just what I like. The duvet cover is changed between guests so you don't need to be afraid to sit on the bed. My standard check of the mattress for bed bugs yielded no issues (am I the only one that rips back the sheets and mattress pad to check for these beasties?).

A pleasant surprise: there was no bathtub, only a very large shower with a small lip to step over and sliding glass doors (I didn't ask for an "accessible" room and this didn't appear to be one either given that there were no grab bars at the toilet.) The adjustable shower head was great, too. No evidence of anything growing in the shower (isn't it sad this even has to be mentioned?). The soaps/shampoo smelled wonderful and didn't leave me feeling dry and alligator-skinned.

The only drawback, in my humble opinion, is that the coffee maker was in the bathroom. I know it's pretty standard to find it there but I am always really grossed out by that location. It was set back in an alcove so not out on the vanity top but still…

The breakfast was good – nothing fancy, but for a complimentary breakfast, I was pleased. The coffee was hot and they offered a regular version and a strong version as well as milk or half and half.

When looking at the map of E-burg, it looks like the Hampton is far from where I needed to be but the travel time was the same as if I'd stayed in one of the usual places.

I will definitely stay there again, one because I get Hilton Honors points for it, but mostly because the stay was wonderful!

Service: we dealt with Nick for most of our stay and I was impressed with his ability to go above and beyond to accommodate our needs. He was awesome. The other two front desk employees (both female) were much less friendly. Nick was awesome. The cleaning staff were all very friendly as well.

Breakfast: the complimentary breakfast was quite impressive! Saturday morning they had omelets and potatoes for the main dish. They also always have various bread/pastry items, a waffle maker, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, fresh fruit, cereals, juice, coffee, yogurt, hard boiled eggs… I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I was really impressed. Sunday morning they had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy.

Pool/spa: small, but clean. The hot tub was nice. The towels in the pool room were TINY!!!

Rooms: very nice, comfy beds, large array of TV channels, fridge and microwave. They only provide two small bath towels, which was a minor annoyance. The key cards also didn't work very well.

I would definitely stay here again.

This Hampton over books so I did not get a room tonight despite my reservation. As a former diamond member I was surprised by this hotels inability to accommodate my reservation.

We have stayed here several times when visiting family in Ellensburg. Having stayed at other properties in town, this is the best! Yes, it is on the outskirts of town, but is a short car ride to town. Excellent beds, service, pool, and complete hot breakfast! And, the breakfast area is nice and roomy. IHOP is right next door too. Coffee in the room, but if you want a nice short walk you can go to Jannikas Coffee. Great hotel!!

Conveniently located off the freeway in Ellensburg, WA. This Hampton Inn serves a hot breakfast buffet and even offers to pack you a breakfast to go bag if you're in a rush.

The rooms are clean and the parking is plentiful.

If only they had room service…

Great hotel stay. I'll agree with the other reviewers in that it seems a bit off the beaten track, but with that said, it is Ellensburg so…that basically means it was about 2 minutes from everything.

Nice hotel – well kept. Great breakfast, clean rooms, polite staff, updated, nice workout room, affordable. Great option for a stay in Ellensburg!

First of all, this hotel is a little out of the way from downtown and the campus but that is about the only criticism I have.

Super friendly and helpful front desk, convenient guest laundry, super quiet and clean pool/hottub, great breakfast, modern feel, super comfy bed, big showers, newish equipment in the workout room, fridge/microwave in rooms, and overall great quality. Pretty much everything I want in a hotel.

Best of the best and a bargain
Checking in took 2 minutes. Unheard of. Room spacious and had everything. Breakfast was unbelievable, SO many choices – low-carb, low-fat, veggie, low-nothing, it had everything. And they had sack lunches for takeout! Dining room very spacious. Great location. Enjoyed the hot tub; very nice workout room (we didn't use it due to time). Staff very efficient and friendly. IHOP next door but also plenty of choices. Wifi actually worked and was fast. We will definitely be back.

Really happy with my stay here. It feels like the middle of nowhere as you approach butonce inside they take great care of you…fresh cookies, clean sheets, nice breakfast, and a convenient fitness room are all amenities I am looking for in a pit stop. This Hampton Inn had all of these and the service was great.

If it isnt snowing, there are actually a few little places to walk to and any reasonable hotel next to a seedy casino is always fun

This place was extremely disappointing. Yes, it's new and nice, but the manager has changed my mind about ever staying here again. I booked three rooms a year in advance for Labor Day weekend. I asked it they wanted a credit card to secure the rooms. They said no. I received a confirmation via email. Then the manager cancelled it and when I called, she would not give me the quoted price becasue I hadn't given her a credit card. It didn't matter that I had offered to give them one at the beginning. A couple of weeks before we checked in, I received another email and the manager had changed the price for our stay again. I had to contact the corporate office and the manager came down some, but would not honor our original agreement. No other hotels had rooms available so we didn't have much choice. I watched several people check in and had also been quoted one price, only to be told at check in that the price was good for only one night and it increased alot over the Labor Day weekend. They also tried to charge a guest (who stays there on a weekly basis) the price for the entire weekend because he was checking out early on a Friday morning. Even though they were booked solid and getting calls on an hourly basis for people wanting rooms. It felt like she was very money hungry. I was so disappointed. We had hoped to stay there on a regular basis. Won't be happening now.

Definitely one of the best Hampton Inns. Very clean, modern. Built probably just a year or two ago would be my guess. Friendly staff. Quiet. Right off the freeway.

Stayed here for the first time in July 2009, and again in June 2011.

This is definitely your slightly-above-average Hampton Inn – free parking, free wi-fi, free breakfast, as usual. Very clean, as usual. Love that it's a Hilton property, as usual.

The reasons I give it 5 stars are:
-it's right off the highway
-it's on the way back to Seattle from the Gorge – get a DD though if you're gonna party because it's still an hour from the Gorge
-it's the nicest hotel in this area
-there's a gas station right next door

Overall, love the location of this place. Made it from this Hampton to Sea-Tac Airport this morning in under 2 hours, including a stop for gas.
