This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. I checked in late maybe a little after 10 pm on Friday, July 3, 2020. Upon entering the room I noticed that it was very warm, but I didn't think much about it because I assumed they wouldn't have the air on in the room until the customer arrived to save on energy costs. So I dropped my bags off and immediately left to pick up a to go food order. When I returned to the room I finally looked at the thermostat thinking the AC was just turned off all together, but no it wasn't. It was actually already on set to 65 degrees on auto, but the the temperature in the room was 87 degrees. Clearly it wasn't working. I called the front desk to inform them of my room not having any AC. They immediately sent someone up and they came with a fan in hand. I was told that they are having AC problems in some rooms in the building and that a repair man would be coming at some point in the middle of the night to fix the problem, but the fan should work for me. I asked to be moved to another room that had a working AC system and was told that they were sold out and had no more rooms. So at this point I'm extremely exhausted from a long day, it's midnight and I'm given no options from management other than an apology and a fan. At midnight with a 3 yr old toddler I had no option but to stay in an 87 degree room with a loud fan blowing hot air around. The worst sleep ever! I wake up this morning to speak with the front desk because again I thought the problem would be fixed by morning, I was told that the repair person could not fix the problem. I'm so upset about the whole situation because if I was given honesty and transparency when I checked in, I could have just moved to another Hilton property. If I was told in the beginning that the building was experiencing AC issues and my room may be affected etc. I would have never checked in. This property was dishonest and failed to even mention it and when I brought it up to them I was given absolutely no recourse to fixing the problem and instead being told to deal with it. We are experiencing high temperatures due it being summer and we are in the middle of a world pandemic and this establishment is putting customers in rooms with no AC. This is completely unacceptable and I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay here.

We stayed here a couple of times over the years. Wonderful. However we were there last weekend. So depressing. A/C was out, had to have our room switched. No breakfast, no pool, no special accommodations. The lobby had no air and the associates were sweating. One bright spot was Teresa at the front desk. A lovely person who was very helpful and NICE. Also the lady (wish I got her name) who helped us switch rooms was super nice and helpful. We frequent Milwaukee and will probably give this hotel another try. It's pandemic time and I will not bash this establishment.

Where do I start? The rooms need refurbishing. I use a CPAP at night. The outlet near the bed didn't work so maintenance gives me a 20 foot extension cord. There was no continental breakfast and no adjustment on the bill. No one knows how to access the virtual key. It's on their app but the front desk doesn't know how to implement it. You have to be buzzed into the hotel. I waited numerous times to get in. It appears to be a lack of training all around. I just noticed Chris stayed here 4 days earlier and paid $59. He is lucky! I paid $99 plus, plus. The reason I stayed here and not at an AirBnb is because I wanted daily housekeeping. You get it by request. Hardly a full service hotel.

I love Hampton Inn. We go out of our way to stay at them. We're on a road trip and, just on this trip, this is our 9th Hampton Inn in as many nights. First thing, we specifically were willing to stay in the downtown area only because this hotel offered valet parking. When we arrived at the hotel, not only is there no valet parking, there is also no signage or anything saying where to park. We had to stop in a loading zone for my husband to go inside and ask where to park. The woman at the front desk explained there is a parking structure around the corner and to go to the 8th floor for the hotel. Luckily there were good signs once we found the parking structure and a very nice security officer who corrected the front desk agent's instructions, as the entrance from the parking structure is on the 2nd floor. The luggage carts are located on the first floor at the street level. Which is super inconvenient when you're parked on the opposite side of the hotel in the parking garage on the 2nd floor. Luckily the one plus at this hotel is that they do offer the digital key, so we were able to go straight to our room. Our room had no number on the outside, which was room 311 (I get it, people probably steal it often, but still–maybe paint the number on the wall outside of it?). Our room was not very clean–hair on the floor in the bathroom and in bathtub, a kid's sippy cup underneath one of the beds from who knows how long ago of other guests. There were only 2 bath towels in the bathroom even though my reservation was for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kicker for me was that they had zero coffee and breakfast grab bags–I understand we're in a pandemic and some amenities are not being offered–but the other eight Hampton Inn's I've stayed at in the immediate days prior to this stay had coffee and some kind of breakfast offered. So long story short, do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else nearby.

You get what you pay for at $59 a night. We've stayed at 8 hampton inns in 9 days across the US and this place is a dump. Hard pass. Pick a different spot. Parking sucks. No coffee or snacks even for breakfasts.

If I could give no stars I would. I'm having to wait in the lobby for almost 30 minutes because my room isn't "cleaned" yet. And I'm not the only person waiting. The only thing the lady at the desk had to tell me was "oh well we had 24 late check outs today". How is that my problem? People have plans. Things to do. Terrible professionalism and nasty lobby bathroom. Never coming back.

Not Hilton's best property. I booked through the Hilton App, i.e. direct through Hilton. I reserved a room with two queen beds, but was assigned a room with two double beds. I see that for the night I stayed a two double and a two queen room were priced the same, so the staff may have thought that they were the same. Obviously not. Yes, I should have asked for what I reserved, but it was late and we were tired by the time we realized what we had.

Our room on the top floor (10) had a lot of strange noises. We're we under the water tank for the building? Loud water gurgling could be heard all night. Our neighbors were playing what sounded like a broken recording of a comedy sound track. The layout of the room was bizarre, a tiny outside room with a couch and a TV, a hall with a double sink with access to the bath and toilet and a separate bed room with the two undersized beds. The double doors for the bed room have no hardware, so you can't close them all the way.

Bottom line: it seems like a hastily put together room, and I wonder why I was put in this room when I reserved something else. I'm not sure, but I think this is an argument for booking through a service like Expedia where you have more buying power.

Great hotel in Downtown Milwauke. Conveniently located walking distance from the Wisconsin Center, many businesses and restaurants. I stayed here for a work conference and was accommodated last minute during a sold out week. My room was immaculate and had everything I could need and more (couches, lounge chairs, two sinks, two TV's!). The bed was extremely comfortable and the television had a wide array of channels available for viewing. The continental breakfast had a wide array of choices, including healthy choices (fresh fruit, smoothies, juice, yogurt, oatmeal), as well as conventional items including bagels, pastries, waffles. Later in the day, the hotel would have chocolate chip cookies available free of charge. My one complaint was that the WiFi was never working well, it would continually go in and out (not good when traveling for work). I brought it up to the front desk staff to see if there was any other way to connect or different network. The response I received was "yah we know, it never works". The facility had a hot tub and indoor pool. Overall, great stay and would visit again if traveling to MKE.

BED BUGS!!! Stay away! Attitude and poor service. Hot tub wasn't working. They offered to comp me my room but have yet to shut down the hotel while they investigate even though the ecolab report found the bugs. It happens in hotels all the time, but the way they handled it was disappointing.

We arrived around 4:30pm and the hotel had given away all of the suites (3 beds), even though we had booked in advance. We spoke with check-in staff for 45 minutes who could not seem to get their act together or multi-task, nor were they professional. They even told us they couldn't give us a room at all, but finally gave us a room with 2 beds. I told them that was not acceptable, as we need 3 beds. They told us to go up the room and they would keep working to fix the issue "once they got through the other 3 issues they need to resolve" and then would call me. They never called, and the late night staff didn't care when I came back later.

As a result, we had a guest have to sleep on the floor, which is unacceptable! When we went to check out and complain again, the morning checkout attendant clearly didn't care. She originally tried to charge us the suite amount ($300), even though we never got to stay in a suite. When we asked for a discount after the whole fiasco, she tried to charge us the full amount for the room we actually did get ($250). We told her that was not a discount – it was the actual rate! She kept arguing that it was a discount and she could have charged us $300. She reluctantly agreed to reduce it by $50, so we were still charged $200 for a room where guests had to sleep on the floor. She did not apologize, which was infuriating.

So overall, they didn't have enough beds for us, they were unapologetic, they were incompetent, and they were also unprofessional. So frustrating.

Booked this as part of a block months in advance for a dance competition. Called 2 weeks prior to cancel 1 day of the 3 day stay and the employee Brandon cancelled the entire reservation. When I corrected him, stating it was only one day that needed to be cancelled he informed me the hotel was sold out and he couldn't rebook me since that was where our entire team was staying, I demanded he correct it. He said he did, and provided me with a confirmation number but my gut said he was not up to par as I never received the confirmation email. Called the next day to speak with Jasmine just to confirm everything was ok. she informed me the confirmation number that was given to me the day prior was not a valid confirmation number. She attempted to re-book my room but could not and assured me I would hear from her supervisor Stephanie later that day and I would get a discount for my trouble. That call never came.

I called the third day and was informed that I now had TWO rooms booked. At that point in demanded to speak with a manager who had no explanation for the fiasco.

Got to the hotel and checked in, then went upstairs to one of the most janky hotel rooms I have ever been in. Worse than a motel 6. Every other member of my dance tram had good clean rooms with views and lots of space. I was put in a broken down closet with nowhere to even put luggage except between the beds.

Rooms are small and hotel is very old. For the most part it's clean and kept up. Staff is very friendly but a huge down side is it takes forever to get hot water for the shower. Also heater is on the side wall but even if you turn it off a fan from the ceiling runs all night and is extremely loud. Refrigerator in each room which is nice but no microwave. Breakfast is your typical powdered eggs etc.

Two stars because we enjoyed the whirlpool that I deeply sanitized myself, and receptionist was helpful.

Location: Ghetto neighborhood. They close the doors at 6PM without us knowing and we walked back to our hotel coming from the Bar (which I'll make a review later) their was homeless people that looked as if they were under some type of influence asking for money by entrance. They block the rotating hotel doors.

Breakfast: FREE but Potatoes tasted like perfume with plastic and waffles didn't have much taste and were on the soggy side so I drowned it with packets of butter and syrup.
Orange juice tasted spoiled and horrible. Apple juice was almost clear and off color.
Pro: Coffee, lemon water and teas

Cleanliness: It didn't take long to find curled black hair, random black mold dust in the sinks corner. It's not like I tried looking for fault, cleaning personal does NOT clean well.

Bed: Squeaked a lot just by flipping over. I was super itchy every night. The detergent they used caused my non fragile skin into allergic reactions and the top layer of the bed cover has a very hard itchy design on it where as soon as it hits your skin you need to take it off.

KEY: One did not work. We got locked out once when cards decided to not work. It was a hassle, read somewhere else where it's happened before with customers.

Parking: Either you pay $14 a day with ability to go in and out or pay $22 plus tip for valet and "in and out privileges" or pay by the amount your there at a different parking lot if this was a luxury hotel I wouldn't mind but it is NOT.

Pool: COLD. Even the pool room was cold. Children didn't want to be in it and chose the hot tub, I couldn't even bare it so we left.

Room: Freezing cold. It's January and it DOES NOT work when you attempt to turn up the heat by the wall thermostat. I had my jacket on the whole time.

Nose level: Walls are thin and the "Heater vent" made noise randomly through the night.

Streets: Milwaukee snow plowing is horrible. Sidewalks and streets were packed and hard to walk or drive through.

Will I go back again? No. Will post pictures.

Sadly, this hotel has definitely declined since the time of my first review. It still has location on its side, just a block from the Riverside. But our stay here last week was really just kind of blah. The quality of the rooms has declined. The bed was OK but not great. The room was clean… ish. The bathroom was OK but older. The staff was not as helpful as before. It certainly was an OK place to spend a night, but really not as good as it was when we were here several years ago.

Our daughter, recent MU graduate, surprised us with a weekend on her at this hotel. The first night the heating unit blew over our bed like a jet engine. Fighting to stay warm, our queen sheets on a king bed allowed us to slumber on bare a mattress. We did graciously get moved (upgraded ) to a suite. The suite had crumbling windows and tiles around whirlpool tub. We stuffed towels along windows to block the breeze. Again, the thermostat was inept and dysfunctional. Longing for our jet engine fan from former room this 2nd night due to a party raging with thumping loud music until after 1:00 AM. Three calls to the front desk, (with banter about us calling AGAIN by staff in background);finally about 1:30 we had a quiet, cold room. Securing reservation through Kayak, Priceline, they wouldn't do anything for immediate refund. Hampton Inns have 100% guarantee, we were 100% disgusted with our whole experience. Not the HI we experience all over the country when we travel for sure.

We stayed at this Hotel on December 30th, 2018. So about a week ago at the time of this post. While staying there, we were given the option to self park or pay additional for valet that was set-up inside the door of the main entrance. We chose self park and were directed to park in the attached parking garage and enter through the door in the 2nd level of the garage directly into the hotel. I was in a hurry and accidentally parked over the line of the spot next to me. This was approximately 2:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, so still broad daylight, I had to get a blanket for our toddler. When I got to my vehicle, I found it vandalized in multiple ways. An egg was broken on it, sand thrown on top of the egg, written on in the dirt on the car with colorful profanity, etc. So this took a long time, and whoever did it was confident they could do it without getting caught. When I brought it to the hotel, they then decided to inform me that the garage was owned and operated through the city, and they only have a camera at the entrance to the hotel. This is the same excuse I continue to get from the hotel as I try to get some kind of effort from them to make the situation right. The problem is the hotel basically sells the parking without informing their guests that they do not own or operate the garage. They have reserved valet for the hotel guests and an entrance, so they obviously use this garage as designated parking for their guests, but if anything happens to your vehicle, they claim they have no responsibility to their guests or obligation to provide a safe and secure situation for their vehicles, and well being. Not a single Manager from the hotel has reached out and apologized or made an effort to make sure everything is ok. There are scratches on the hood and windshield of our brand new vehicle. Corporate offered me 10k points after I emailed multiple times and waited 4 days for a reply. 10k points is worth about $30… thanks. Nothing from the actual hotel, and even corporate is trying to deny any ownership of this situation. Never again! Beware because they will do the same to you if anything happens to your vehicle.

I have stayed here three times in the last six months for work for around $110/night during the week. This hotel is a solid choice if you are coming to downtown Milwaukee on business or to hop the early train to Chicago. Parking is run by the city ($14 overnight) and not included in your room. Also, there are no signs for parking and the desk clerks have been unable to provide accurate directions which given the construction has changed each visit. The rooms are clean but fairly standard. The pro is in the location. You can walk to the train station (and past a coffee shop open early before the 6:15 to Chicago) in about .5 mile.

After having stayed at Hilton's other properties, this hotel is dingy and depressing. The decor, hallways, lobby look cheap. When I first walked in the room, I felt like I was in a very cheap motel. The colors are depressing, the lighting is poor, and the bathroom is not very nice. That said, I cannot say anything about the cleanliness of the room as it was fine.

Room is hot. The thermostat says it is 65. Can't be turned down further. Overall the hotel needs to remodeled and updated. Looks like they did a really cheap version of an update but left a lot of problems. Bed is uncomfortable. Place is tolerable but not good.

I really liked the value for this Hampton inn. It has a great location. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast included and overall the facilities are in good shape.
Some things show that it was another type of building prior, but in my case it worked to my advantage and families with children will appreciate this part too. Rooms are huge, some kind of suite version 2 tv's and double vanity. As you can see in my pictures there is ample space. Gym and pool and jacuzzi are good too.
Milwakee is a go out early kind of city so there was not much to do late at night in the area. But during the day this hotel has excellent location. A type of mall is right across the street and some restaurants are walking distance. Stadium is close by too.
I'd stay here again for sure.

I travel for work and always stay in Hilton properties, so when my husband and I were preparing to stay downtown after a concert, I booked this one with points. We were thrilled with the location and how walkable everything is!

Within 5 minutes of checking in, we called the front desk to see if another room was available. Our king sized room was small and dingy, and the view of another building and a pile of trash was not helping. We were told that the only other rooms available would have the same depressing view, so we said thanks and agreed to stay put.

We learned later, when darkness fell, that there was a good 1/4" gap between the door and the door frame, allowing lots of bright light to enter. It also let us see and hear people as they passed by in the hallway. We were right next to the elevator, so we saw a lot of action. It felt like people were walking right through our room.

The vent in our room made so many weird noises that we couldn't sleep. Instead, we entertained ourselves and made each other laugh by coming up with little stories for the sounds we were hearing. My favorites included the raccoon trying to open a can with his claws, a ring being dropped down a drain and through a series of long pipes, and a flock of gulls coming in to roost. The variety of noises was truly impressive. We were up early, playing this game, but couldn't tell that it was a beautiful sunny morning because of the neighboring buildings that blocked the natural light.

I would not stay at this property again, but I do recommend it to a children's book author with writer's block. May the team of animals in the ducts inspire you and generations to come!

This hotel is garbage. We got a suite for a bachelorette party, this was the tiniest "suite" Iv ever seen. You couldn't close the door to the bedroom of the suite because the bed was blocking it. We Ran out of toilet paper which isn't a big deal just an annoyance, the room slept 6 and they don't have any extra roles which is crazy.
The thermostat constantly clicked like it was trying to catch every 5 minutes in the bedroom, and the toilet leaked. Elevators are TIGHT especially with a luggage cart.
We also got threatened to be kicked out of the hotel due to a noise complaint when we were setting up to go to sleep. Yes it was late, but really? First warning was a "if you make one more loud noise we will escort you out"
Valet was a nice touch considering parking is shit, the valet was the only one that asked if we enjoyed our stay which was good customer service from him, the desk people weren't very friendly. The hotel is walkable, just don't except much.
Breakfast was average.

Absolutely, the worse hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! We stayed in this hotel for new years (2 nights). We chose this hotel due to the location, which was the only perk.

First, our suite had blood…yes blood all over a wall. Not just a spot, but huge 2 foot drip marks. Second, there was dried vomit on the door that separated the bathroom from the living room area. Also, not just a little bit. We went down to the front desk and was told "There is nothing we can do. We are short staffed and cannot even clean it" I wish I was kidding… Since we had children with us, we had to actually clean our room ourselves.

I wish this was it, but it wasn't. We also had family in an adjoining room that started flooding toilet water everywhere. No clog, just spewing water. It flooded the living room space and part of the bedroom. They refused to send anyone up to help us! Once again citing that they didn't have anyone to help. We ended up having to manually turn the water valve off! We ended up sleeping 9 people in one room. They wouldn't even give us extra blankets, because they had no one to grab them from the storage closet. We had children using towels for blankets sleeping on the floor. We called every hotel in a 20 mile radius to leave, but everywhere was sold out, and we had an event the following day in the city, or we would have been gone. A manager was also not available to help us. We were told that a manager wouldn't be in until 2 the next day and would be gone by 6. Our event started at 2… so we couldn't even speak with a manager.

I wish this was the end of the nonsense. Yet… once again, no. We found out that random people had been charging stuff to OUR room! Our bill was over 700 dollars for two nights (one room, as the other room was on another account). Nobody purchased anything, as the kids were always supervised, and we specifically made it a point to never be in the hotel due to the sanitary issues. So apparently, they let random people charge things to accounts without verification.

On top of this, our kids got accosted in the hallways by vagrants who were just wandering the halls as we headed to the pool. I understand it was cold out, but it was a huge safety issue.

As a Hilton Honors member, who frequents Hilton hotels monthly, this stay was an embarrassment for the chain.
