I've had various domain names for the last 15 years. This by far has been my worst experience. First, I had a problem hosting these domain names bought from hostnet on our web hosting platform. This was a long process where the customer service at hostnet simply kept saying that I should check with my web hosting partner or google. Their knowledge was very limited. Lastly, the domains needed a renewal, during which time I was away for the summer. When I came back I had a bill from incasso, with a 5 day notice period a bill of 26 euros turned to 66,62 euros. My conversations with Ultimo the incasso company and Hostnet customer service was one of the worst I have had. There was a complete lack of flexibility or reasoning on the late payment. A debt collector agency with a 5 day notice period to pay a late bill for a domain name? a 40 euros fine on 26 euros for a 2 month late payment just seems unreasonable. The company comes across as cold and uninterested. I was even told that they can show me how to de-register my domain name if I am not interested in hosting with them. One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Hostnet is the worst company I ever tried for domain name registration!
First, after the registration started coming a lot of spam.
When I asked them to hide my contact information in 鈥渨hois鈥? they just changed the ownership of the domain to their company!
I bought a domain for a year, I pay with Ideal and I didn麓t switch on the 鈥渁utomatic payment鈥?option.
In normal domain name companies you can switch on automatic renovation of the domain, if you don麓t, the domain name just expires in a year if you don麓t pay for the next year.
But in Hostnet they offer you a special service (that actually you didn麓t ask) 鈥?they extend your domain name without asking you, and without previous payment!
And then… they ask you to pay for the service that you actually didn麓t request and maybe even don麓t need anymore!!!
It is a sort of scam! However they say that it is a special service that other clients really appreciate, and you should read their general conditions more thoughtfully ))).
Thanks God I bought only one domain name there, and I didn麓t try their hosting. Nightmare company!

I build two websites through this company. Their prices are reasonable compared to others and their customer support is very quick in replying and in giving good advice. Their products are also very good and shiny.
