I booked this hotel on our way into Memphis, it was just for the night, since we we passing thru. It is in the old newspaper printing building, I thought that was a pretty cool thing. It has valet, the lobby is very bright, and checking in was a cinch. The room was spacious and comfortable, very clean. We had breakfast at the restaurant, which was good. I also worked out at the gym, has the basics. I definitely preferred this place to the crown plaza.

I stayed here for 2 nights over the Christmas lighting ceremony at Graceland. This place was absolutely perfect. When I walked into the room my jaw dropped upon noticing the high ceilings and curtains. They must be 13' or 15' high. The decor was lovely, the shower was so spacious and comfortable after a long drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I checked in around 11pm and the front desk associate pointed me in the direction of Huey's, a cute restaurant that had a large selection of food after hours (and I was even encouraged to play with my food, really, if you eat there look up. Lol). I was towing a large trailer and the valet actually helped fix some of the chains that uhaul hooked up incorrectly. The front desk was even kind enough to watch my luggage for me for a couple hours after I checked out so I could go see the Peabody duck march which is about 3 blocks away. I want to come back and I will absolutely be staying here again.

Room are clean and simple. Don't get a suite. They are below ground. Half your windows for the suites are literally below the sidewalk. We moved to second floor room, pitching the subterranean suite. The rooms have really thin walls. Only one super slow elevator that doubles for staff. So you ride with staff doing housecleaning. It's not that I mind being with them, but it's a heavily used elevator and it's already super slow. And what's with all the noise outside? It's super noisy here. Some kind of construction or weird continuous machine or something. Can't describe it, but bring ear plugs.

Room was clean and big and quiet. Cleaning staff was nice. All other service, aside from bartenders (who were friendly but not skilled) was bad. The desk crew and restaurant service was poor and food orders were extremely slow. Seemed understaffed. At times us and others were standing just waiting on a desk clerk to show up. To top it off the valet service they use, Guardian Consiaege, damaged our truck and the hotel staff refused to help in any way and all but said we caused the damage and were trying to pull a fast one. After a $500 for two days stay.

To be clear I know the valet is a separate company but a little understanding and help from hotel staff in one of the more expensive hotels in the area would have been nice. Instead was treated to the hotel clerk lecturing the valet as to how we might be trying to pull the wool over their eyes. When called on it he dismissively stated, "Oh not talking about you," complete with eye roll. Not hospitality at its finest.

As a follow up… Guardian Consiaege took responsibility to pay for the damage based on the evidence provided. Once complete they get a good review. The hotel staff, however, still treated us like criminals rather than being sympathetic.

Stayed here and at The Peabody on a recent trip to Oxford Mississippi. For less than half the price we got 3X the bathroom and a much better bedroom. It's the same neighborhood, so walk over to see the ducks and lobby at The Peabody if you are looking for that. But do yourself a favor and stay here

Let me preface this by saying I'm a bit of a hotel snob. This is not the most affordable hotel in the area! It was worth EVERY PENNY! A friend and I came to Memphis for a little get a way. We wanted to stay somewhere nice close to different attractions. Hotel Napoleon qualified. Walking distance to Beale street, Main street, and the baseball stadium. We arrived, and were greeted by a very nice host. The room was very clean and everything the pictures portray. Shorty after checking in, I received a text message asking if the room was up to our standards. Each day of our stay we received a text message making sure everything was ok. This was a small gesture, but it was amazing. We visited the Luna restaurant and bar downstairs. The bartender (I forgot her name, but short cute dreadlocks) was very personable and polite. We got their signature sangria. It was spectacular. Overall if I were to come back to Memphis, I would definitely stay at Hotel Napoleon again.

Enjoyed my stay here. The entire staff was super friendly! Nice clean rooms, only thing was there is no where to park so we just payed for the valet the entire stay

The hotel was modern and clean. The cool fruit infused water was welcomed each time we returned to the hotel. Memphis is hot during the summer! The staff was super friendly and full of Southern hospitality. The hotel even went as far as sending text to see what they could do to improve our stay. The hotel is in a historic building downtown. If you're here during the Spring/Summer there is a minor league baseball team plays steps from the hotel. Beale Street and other points of interest are within walking distance of the hotel. If I'm ever in Memphis again, most definitely stay here again.

Great location downtown and a very cool vibe. Staff is also great, especially Rocky on the front desk. So glad we chose this place instead of a chain hotel. We will be back.

We checked into The Napoleon at around 10pm on a Friday night after a late flight into Memphis… we were just in for the weekend and had booked a suite for our 2 night stay.
The first thing everyone should know when booking a suite at The Napoleon in Memphis is that their suites are 1 level BELOW the first floor…. yes, you take the elevator DOWN to get to your SUITE !
Ok, so everything was fine… the room seemed nice… 2 TVs… dresser, mini fridge, large king sized bed, very large walk in shower… everything seemed just fine…

1st issue- The remote for the TV in the bedroom only turned the TV on and off… couldn't change the channels… so we decided to turn in for the night…. no big deal….

2nd issue- It was about 11:45p… and being at (actually below) ground level… the traffic noise from the street was easily heard … ohhh and the motorcycles racing up and down the streets can be heard too…. mind you, the windows allow you to see foot traffic on the street… and I do mean foot…. standing in the room, looking out the window you see feet passing by… not to mention the kids standing on the corner wondering loudly, what to do next.

3rd issue- Just about 12:05am… our neighbors in the next suite arrived. This is when the party started for them. At least 4 people…. Loud talking, loud music, trying to yell over the loud music, a broken glass. Trying to ignore this party on the other side of the adjoining wall was difficult.
So I went UPSTAIRS to the front desk to request a room change. We were given a room on the top floor which was NOT a suite. Oh, because there are only 2 Suites in this hotel… and they are both downstairs, below street level.

So here's an interesting note….I was told that the only compensation I'd receive for taking a lesser room was 2 food vouchers for the hotel restaurant. We are in Memphis for 40 hours… we wanted BBQ. So, NO… I'm not taking food vouchers.
Why would it take a nearly 2 days and 4 trips to the front desk, to simply get a bill adjustment which would reflect that I stayed in a regular room, and NOT a Suite.
A lot of time wasted, explaining the situation to 3 different people who were unable to authorize a rate change because there are NO managers on duty during the weekend.
So…. would I choose this hotel again…. NOPE…. especially when there are plenty of other places to stay….

Loved the hotel! Great location, very clean rooms, delish breakfast, but best of all were the amazing gents at the front desk, and the entire staff for that matter. Eric & Paul were happy and cheerful, super helpful with places to eat, things to see, and really made the whole experience wonderful. I would for sure recommend this hotel, and can't wait to stay again! Oh, and for the first time EVER, something I left in my hotel room (my reusable water bottle) was found and going to be returned. I'm thrilled! Thanks!

My fourth visit to Memphis, and my first time at the Hotel Napoleon. This will be my top choice every time from now on. Beautiful boutique hotel with gorgeous bathrooms, contemporary decor and furnishings, and comfy beds. Loved the exposed brick wall in our room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice restaurant on site, and conveniently located with walking distance of Beale Street and downtown restaurants.

Hotel Napoleon is a beautiful boutique hotel. There's a small bar on site with an awesome bourbon menu. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. The manager, Rocky, even made us coffee and tea at their coffee station! Excellent location downtown, close to all the sports venues. Highly recommend! We'll be back next time we're in Memphis.

Nice location, valet parking, very comfortable room and wonderful hotel. Amazing shower and bathrooms with bath ropes and slippers. Bar looks really good and staff were friendly. Is everyone so friendly in Memphis?

We loved our stay, even though it was just for one night. Definitely worth coming back to.

From the very warm enthusiastic welcome until we arrived safely home in St. Louis Rocky and the staff at the Hotel Napoleon took excellent care of our group of 8. The hotel is conveniently located and the rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. We hated to leave

One of the best places to stay in Memphis. Everyone we talked to at the front desk was helpful and provided great recommendations for places to go and what to eat. They even made our reservation at Flight and boy did that not disappoint! The hotel is also located close enough to Beale street and many other attractions so we were able to walk.

When you can find the staff they are nice. The bed was just okay. The bathroom was horrible. There should not be what looks like mold growing in the corners of the shower tiles and sliding glass door. I told the front desk staff and they said they "cleaned" it but it was still pretty bad. They did give me an apology goodie bag but I'd have much rather preferred a clean bathroom.

This was an incredible hotel. Clean lobby and beautiful rooms with high ceilings. We never felt cramped in our room, there was lots of space and huge windows that brought in a lot of light. The staff and the woman at the front desk were so helpful and professional. We were given comfy bath robes and slippers that are always fun to put on! Also, we loved the bathroom! Very sleek and minimalist vibes!

Such a great stay! The info guy a the front was very informative. He was able to recommend some great food places, night life, etc. The bar is open late and the serve food late. Park a block away for only $3!

This is such a neat place! The hotel is clean and beautiful. Our room had these incredible lighted mirrors that made getting ready to go out for the evening so great!

The front desk staff, Brandon and Erik were so kind and accommodating (and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and the great restaurants). And one of the other staff members was really helpful in finding us a pack n play for our infant.

We really loved our stay and hope we get to stay again!

Nice, clean modern property. Spacious room & nice gray tones. Customer service was good & I would definitely stay here again. The property is located downtown near the stadium & is not far from I-240. There is only 1 elevator & it was a tad slow. Only one young man was working the valet at checkout and I did have to wait about 10 minutes. He was very nice & the front desk clerk was apologetic.

Great hotel. Good atmosphere and excellent room conditions.

The only issue I had was parking. You would think that they would at least have a partnership with the garage next door but they do not. You either can park on the street and leave your vehicle vulnerable to anyone, or use their valet services at an additional charge.

When I made my reservation through Choice (as I am a rewards member) I was not informed of this and caught completely off guard by this fact.

Other than that it's a great hotel.
