I have been looking for a wedding dress for some time and as an expat in Denmark had little to no choice when it comes to designer wedding dresses. The only reason to visit House of Brides was that this is the only place close to Copenhagen where you can find a Maggie Sottero dress. So here I come with all dresses I wanted to try in my head, guess what, got disappointed, the new collection is missing (it's been out for quite some time, so I hoped to see it there), however some old models from 2015 and 2014 can be tried out, so decided to try some of them. The store manager (a.k.a the owner) grew impatient after the second dress I tried and became really pushy asking "Do you think this is the dress?", and saying "There is no point if you don't feel it is" and "You shouldn't try that many dresses" after number 3. To be honest, the dress I ended up with is a beautiful Enzoani Blue from Nicolai Brudekjoler and needed to try on 10-12 dresses before I decide, so it really takes some thinking and trying. Anyways, I told her that I wanted to see the new collection and specifically one dress that I really liked online, she promised to call me whenever it gets delivered, guess what, 5 months later, still haven't received that call. So all in all, House of brides is a waste of time and stressful experience, not worth to visit as you won't see any new collection before it is at least 2 seasons old (probably that's why she hasn't called yet). And did I mentioned quite expensive, if your budget is between 10 000-15 000 kr., don't even think about it.
