I was installing a new printer" HP" and could not get connected to my computer ,so I called the support number at HP they said they would get me the first available tech. shortly after that I get a call from this tech who claims to be with HP, we go through all the steps he then wants to get hooked up to my computer to see what's going on after 6 hrs and no progress except he deleted a bunch of my files that pertained to my taxes ,we could not retrieve them ,then he proceeded to tell me my computer was infected so much that nothing would work ,but he could get it cleaned up and make it like new , so mean time he says they have a maintenance and support program that would allow me to get support service for 3 years ,by paying just 320.00 ,keep in mind I think I'm dealing with a HP representative,(wrong), he then ask me to fill out a check and put it on the scanner, and that would be proof of activating the support program. and then he ask me to put the check in an envelope and mail it to a ca. address(785 oak grove rd. concord Ca.) that address is in a small strip mall and is a mail service (mail drop) the phone numbers comeback to an address in Philadelphia also they used a new name for there services (Plexus) ,as the old saying goes if you don't know who your dealing with DON'T

My stepdad was trying to get help with his Garmin when he came across this company. Not knowing better he allowed them remote access to his computer ans even showed them a check up to his webcam. After cancelling the check, uninstalling the programs and changing his passwords I was able to stop everything before it got too bad. These people are THIEVES!

I was transferred to IDTECHS from Garmin for a problem with a gps. They sweet talked me into buying a contract for $540.00. They scanned my check but I was to mail it to him. Before I sent the check, I called and cancelled the contract. Mr. Bennett then locked my computer by taking out my password. He now refuses to take my calls.

After reporting a problem on the Microsoft support site, as part of the explanation it provided a link to www.helpme.net. going to that site opened up to IDT Tech solutions (IDT Infosystems. "Roger Bennett" provided his name with a british-indian accent that was hard to understand and he talked very fast. He took over my computer to check it out and "clean" it. AFTER he ran his program, he showed me that my passwords were exposed and something had turned off my security (Kaspersky) and my network was at risk!! After 3 days of them playing with my computer and installing a bunch of solutions, all free, like Windows Defender, MalwareBytes, etc. they were going to charge me $1,000 for a one year of support!! Adding a second computer would be an additional $500 and adding a third would be an additional $500, but he would "throw in" lifetime support at that price!!

Then to pay him off, he wanted a check made out for that amount wit the endorsement area filled out as "For Deposit Only" and then I had to scan both sides of check and send to them for them to release my computer!! The I was supposed to send the check to their "Billing Department" which through maps, I found out was a residential townhouse in Pennsylvania!!

Each "consultant" that I spoke with had english names, but none spoke english without an indian accent.

I became very leary of the entire situation and am concerned about how much of my life they could destroy with the information that they have sequestered from my computer.

Be careful out there folks, they are behind every tree and bush!!

I called the number provided on the Microsoft Outlook website to report an issue with my PC's and Cellphone. I eventually got through to a person with an Indian accent: I assumed he was a Microsoft/Outlook technician. I gave him access to my system and he pointed out that I had been infected by a "Worm" ( I have antivirus protection). He showed me (on my screen) many entries by (presumably) scammers. He then talked about a "fix" and offered to transfer me to a less expensive option (idtech). I was confused but accepted. It soon became apparent that the guy I was transferred to wanted to "fix" the problem on the spot, on payment by me of the requisite fee. I had become increasingly suspicious during this exchange and said I needed time to think about ir. He then called off but left the following number 1 844 694 26824. I have not called back. This guy also had an Indian accent. I later learned from this website that "Idtech" is a fraudelent organiation.

Directed to IDT by HP when I reported my printer problem
IDT could not fix my wireless printer
IDT promised to send a new printer in 7-10 days
IDT then INSISTED that I purchase a $400 plan from them immediately
when I refused, they locked up my computer by changing my sign in the password without my authorization (held my computer for ransom)
bypassing the IDT scam cost $110

I contacted the website norton.com/globalsupport online chat service requesting help with the installation of new software purchased on Amazon. The representative who contacted me by telephone was not an employee of Norton, but as a discovered after he sold me a $400 contract, an employee of IDT Infosystems Inc. Upon the advice of Norton I terminated the download and notified IDT to stop payment on my check.

this happened on two separate occasions. first i was watching tokyo ghoul on a website which had changed domains recently and second when i tried to read the manga on a site i'd never used before. after closing out of the tab, a warning popped up on a page with the set up of the microsoft website. it was saying that i needed to call the number (855)-541-4927 to install an antiviris because it also said first that my computer had been blocked/infected. I called the number and followed instructions to www.support.me. in the corner of the page i came to, it had a plus sign and LogMeIn. at the center of the page was Support Connection. underneath that, there was a box to insert 6 numbers. the operator told me the 6 numbers but i don't remember them. before i pressed enter to put in the code, i looked up the phone number and saw a scam complaint and hung up on the operator abruptly. he tried to call back 5 or 6 times but i didn't answer, and he eventually left a voicemail. i listened to it and it sounded like there were other people in the room talking on phone lines as well. his accent was either from southeastern asia or somewhere else and sounded like english wasn't his only language.

Received a call from this organization from Edward who said I had been scanned and there were 2000 problems that he could fix, told him I had local people that cared for my computer but he said this had to be handled now, date in Dec.2015. It would be on my credit card bill.will check. He had to take over the computer and fix it.which he did. when he presented the final bill there was also a 199 charge which I questioned and told him he never told me about this charge what he did this time I did not pay that, My credit card company declined to pay so the ID man Edward called and said that when I checked the credit card they said it was declined because they were not sure that I had oked it,which by the way I was grateful for that but they told me on a recall that it was fine and that I would have complete security for a year but if I wanted lifetime it would be 500.00 which I declined
So here I am asking how much danger to me is there?Any chance of delete the entire scam Thanks for being here to respond and will this email be available to them?
