Hello everybody,they closed my account 1 month ago with out they inform me,,after lots of calling they always gave me answer but not clear,the bad things I was in isolation because of corona virus 馃,still I did not receive my money .

They send me a letter they block my account and they ask me to send them my new bank account to another bank so they can transfer money my to my new bank..i call them many times tell told me next week your money will transfer to your new bank almost 1 month now my money still in there bank not yet transfer

Absolutely appalling. After spending years with them, basically in a happy relationship, I receive a letter out of the blue stating they are closing down my account. Trying to get hold of them over the phone has been another endless process. When I finally manage, they vaguely mention it's PERHAPS related to some belated update of my ids (perhaps?? – what kind of a mickey mouse reply is this?). Should it even be – and it may – is this a reason to close a bank account??. Tried for weeks to get in touch again, when I finally manage, the operator says they need not provide any kind of justification as to why my account is being closed, It's closed, thank you very much, goodbye.

Very bad bank!!! don't trust them, they blocked my account without notice and reason.
still, they didn't give me back my money!!! stolen!!!

Terrible, terrible terrible experience. Trying to make a change of inactive mobile number on the account to be able to transfer some money that my mum desperately need. It has been 20 days, we had to fill in form, which is fine, now 20 days later, several emails later, complaints. We just get the automated mail of receipt if we send mail, not one sign of life otherwise.I tried weeks ago to change a document online, still old one there. no communication, so we don't know why stolen document is still active on account. Customer service inept. So one does not get a reply and is left with an account practically blocked. Don't open if you are thinking about it. Lots of other better options on the market.

Absolutely unacceptable. Never seen any bank acting as this one. You can call them, Email them,… they wouldn't bother will never get back to you. Are you still banking with them? Collect your money while you can and run away.

This is my experience. They don't even listen to what you have to say.
They don't try to help you. And chat is automated ineffective service.

Today i went to the ingdirect store in Bologna and was shocked how rude the guy was – I had seen the really bad ratings on here but being a happy ING customer in the netherlands I thought I give them a try – I filled out all the details online but then got an e-mail with about a hundred pages some of which I would have to sign and post back to them – given I am not a native Italian speaker and the instructions in the e-mail what to sign exactly were pretty bad (for an online bank this stuff has to be superclear) I thought I would stop by their branch in bologna (a 2 hour drive) – when I came in there were about 3 employees and no customers – the guy was super moody, said he coukdnt print the forms for me and as a foreigner I wouldnt be able to open a bank account anyway – when I explained I own a house in italy and am a resident he said I should make an appointment and come back later – when I said I was leaving the country for a while he gave up and said he could help me (with a very big sigh and the moodiest face I have ever seen) – I told him not to bother and continue serving the internet on his phone – such a shame you lost me as a customer – you have a great company (outside of italy) I would suggest you send someone to Bologna to sort out the work ethics there or you will continue to see awfull ratings for your firm here; I have honestly never been treated as bad as today – i normally dont write reviews but in this case I had to

This bank is not recommended to any foreigner living in Italy. First of all, they don鈥檛 provide any support in English. You should speak Italian fluently in order to ask for any support either online or at the service center.
I opened my account several months ago believing on the information written on the website. The process to open a new bank account was not easy at all, I sent several posts to them with signed documents and at the end I went in person to their branch in Rome to have my account activated. Later, I applied for a credit card through the online portal, which always shows that my request is in process. after several months I went to the Rome office to solve the problem. The employer attitude was so rude then she asked me to wait for 10 days to receive my credit card. After a month, I didn鈥檛 receive anything from them and no one providing any kind or help.
As far as I know, it is good bank for Italians. However, I don鈥檛 recommend it to any foreigner resident in Italy since the situation is completely different for them.

I was lacking a specific VAT certificate (I do not have a copy) and despite the fact that i) I provided other ID (all having been quite acceptable for opening other Italian accounts with major banks) and ii) the ING Direct account applied (in June 2015) for was not even for business purposes, the account remained unopened in October 2015. Emails are never answered and I was not called, not even once, by Ing Direct staff to follow up my numerous emails. Documents I provided were fully conformant with anti-money laundering regs – so they basically have a defective system and very bad customer service set up. I thought, "if they are like this when you are trying to open an account, how bad are they once you've opened one?" Efforts to open an Ing Direct account was a complete waste of time.
